New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun violence group is launching a cross-country bus tour this month as the next step in its push for stricter gun control measures.
Mayors Against Illegal Guns’ bus tour will start June 14 to mark the six-month anniversary of the Newtown, Conn. massacre, taking gun violence survivors, their families and friends and law enforcement officials to 25 states in 100 days, according to a job posting by the group. Evergreen State Open Carry activists are today promising a warm welcome for anti-gun Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s upcoming gun control bus tour if it visits the Pacific Northwest, according to messages posted over the past several hours on the Open Carry/Washington forum.
The billionaire anti-gun New York mayor is busy today using his bottomless bucket of bucks to bully a New Hampshire senator for voting against his background check scheme, the Manchester Union Leader reported. He is spending $400,000 on a ten-day advertising campaign against New Hampshire Republican Sen. Reuters took a look through the transcripts of an interview with agent Elizabeth Hofacre, who named Carter Hull as an HQ-based attorney who helped craft the questions that harassed conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status. There’s a sense of urgency in the prepping community lately that is at an all time high. In a sign Venezuela’s food shortages could be worsening, restrictions on the sale of 20 basic items subject to price controls, including toilet paper and chicken, are set to begin next week in its most populous state, officials said Tuesday.
A spokesman for President Nicolas Maduro’s government said it is incorrect to call the plan rationing because it is meant to fight smuggling of price-controlled food across the border into Colombia.
