Ukraine’s first post-independence president has warned the country is on the “brink of civil war”.

Leonid Kravchuk, president from 1991 to 1994, urged parliament to “act with the greatest responsibility” as it debates an amnesty for detained protesters.

President Viktor Yanukovych wants any amnesty to be conditional on protesters leaving official buildings and dismantling barricades.   Continue reading “Ex-president warns Ukraine ‘on brink of civil war’”

I have 3 Words to say about this: Marbury Versus Madison. According to the Supreme Court Ruling in MVM: “ANY law passed that is in obvious disregard to the constitution of the United States is no law and is void .” We are therefore under no obligation to obey any law that is unlawful and void.

Federal, state, or local. You, the man or woman with the badge, the sworn LEO or FLEA and those who inhabit the many law enforcement niches in between and on all sides. This essay is directed to you, because in the end, how this turmoil about gun control turns out will depend largely upon your decisions and actions over the coming months and years.

I sincerely wish that members of Congress—who may soon be voting on new gun control measures—would read this essay, but I realize that’s a pipe dream, considering the impenetrable bubbles around those exalted entities. So I’ll settle for you, Mr. (or Ms.) Security Agent, since you already gobble up everything on the internet, and I don’t have to seek you out.   Continue reading “Bracken – Dear Mr. Security Agent”

SALT LAKE CITY — Two Utah senators ate lunch at a Salt Lake elementary school Thursday to make it clear they believe no child in Utah should go hungry.

The visit came after an incident Tuesday at Uintah Elementary School, where fifth-grader Sophia Isom was met by a district nutrition manager during lunch who was monitoring students’ school lunch accounts. The manager took her school lunch and threw it away.   Continue reading “Lawmakers visit school where lunches were tossed for kids without funds”

mathAs I have mentioned a few times, I come from a family of liberals and live near DC, many of my friends are liberals and love this kind of stuff. I maintain some ties with them due to years of history with them, though I am rapidly moving in another direction.

I read it with a sense of horror because of the very subtle indoctrination embedded within — well, I’ll say I used to find it subtle but not anymore. Now it screams out at me.   Continue reading “Math = Love?”

Something Wicked This Way Comes:  The Story of Plume-Gate, the world’s Largest, Provable Cover-Up  By Hatrick ‘Hattie’ Penry

“For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence–on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.”~JFK from his “President and the Press” speech to the U.S. press core on April 27th, 1961   Continue reading “Fukushima Cover-Up: The Story of Plume-Gate (FREE PDF)”

guns second amendmentThe American Vision – by Dr. Joel McDurmon

Liberals did something this week that was so stupid it’s funny—funny, that is, because liberals fired a shot and it backfired on them badly. They thought they would be smart by smearing some gun rights activists in a national-level newspaper. Despite their best efforts, all they did was boost the group’s donations and membership rolls like mad. This is how out of touch with the American people liberals are on the gun issue.   Continue reading “This is how dumb liberals are on guns”

wounded warrior flag ban fineOff the Grid News – by Tara Dodrill

Wounded Warrior flags are not welcome in parts of Palm Coast, Florida. Residents can fly Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and sports team flags, as well as Old Glory, but flying a piece of cloth which heralds wounded veterans will get you fined.

The Grand Haven gated community recently issued a $100 per-day fine notice to 13-year resident Thomas Bagnoli for flying a Wounded Warrior Project flag in his backyard, according to WJXT in Jacksonville.   Continue reading “Homeowner Fined $1,000 For Flying Veteran Flag — And He’s Not Backing Down”

CAMBRIDGE, Md. — The House Republican leadership is trying to sell their colleagues on a series of broad immigration principles, including a path to legal status for those here illegally.

Speaker John Boehner’s leadership team introduced the principles at their annual policy retreat here. Top Republicans circulated a tightly held one-page memo titled “standards for immigration reform” toward the tail-end of a day that include strategy conversations about Obamacare, the economy and the national debt.   Continue reading “House leaders sell immigration blueprint”

A Michigan farmer says he could be facing an armed raid by government agents soon, following a lengthy disagreement with state Department of Natural Resources officials over his refusal to obey an order to kill his feral pigs.

In the previous article, we looked at 8 rules that Saul Alinsky laid out in his book Rules for Radicals. Barack Obama has been following those rules one by one. However, there are other rules that follow in the book. One rule, mentioned by Glenn Beck, was rule 12 and that one rule seems to be one of the most workable rules that President Obama has used to the max! That rule is as follows:   Continue reading “Obama: The Disciple of Saul Alinsky Leads America Towards Full Blown Socialism”

Local Police Adopt Military Technology and TacticsThe New American – by Joe Wolverton, II, J.D.

Robots, facial recognition, and drones. These are the technologically advanced tools that used to belong to the military, but are now commonplace in local police departments.

As The New American has reported, police departments and sheriff’s offices around the country every day look less like peace officers and more like warfighters.   Continue reading “Local Police Adopt Military Technology and Tactics”

America Rejects Rule by Decree as Critics Lambaste Obama SpeechThe New American – by Alex Newman

Americans overwhelmingly rejected bizarre threats from an increasingly unpopular Obama to rule by decree, surveys revealed after his State of the Union speech. Despite trying to artificially divide America into different collectivist classes in need of his supposedly benevolent protection and assistance — an age-old ploy used by statists sometimes referred to as “divide and conquer” — women, black leaders, Hispanic activists, small-business owners, and other members of collectivist categories rejected the narrative, too.   Continue reading “America Rejects Rule by Decree as Critics Lambaste Obama Speech”
