Data collection from GPS_GAOThe Blaze – by Liz Klimas

It’s likely no longer a surprise that companies collect location data from cars’ onboard navigation and through devices. But a government report detailed that these companies might not be doing enough to protect people’s privacy and are not always telling consumers when their data is being used for purposes other than location-based services.   Continue reading “Gov’t Report: Car Companies Collecting Data Through Your Car Aren’t Always Telling You What It’s Being Used For”

Liberty Fight – by Martin Hill

Stricken with bronchitis last month, I went to Walmart to pick up some medicine and alas, the first thing I saw was a motorcycle cop pulling over an old man in the Walmart parking lot. I guess this is the reward for buying our cheap Chinese slave goods. The man had made a left turn into the Walmart parking lot and was immediately stopped by an officer who wrote him a ticket for an illegal left turn. (You’d think they would put turn lanes in front of a Walmart?) Afterwards I went out and took some photos of the officer hiding in the bushes lying in wait for his next ‘customer.’ Video and photos of the cop are below. This was the Walmart located at Foothill Blvd. and Benson Ave in Upland, CA.   Continue reading “Walmart shoppers greeted by traffic tickets: Cops hiding in bushes ticket customers as they go in”

TPWD SCOUT TEAM DOING TRAING EXCERSICES AT CAMP BOWIE TRAING FACILITY.Lew Rockwell – by William Norman Grigg

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) has a newly minted SWAT team. To be sure, the agency maintains that this “cadre of specialty teams” will focus on search-and-rescue missions. However, the way Game Warden Cullen Stakes is dressed in the photo above makes it pretty clear that he’s not getting ready to rescue people who have been stranded by floods, or have gotten lost in the woods.

Among the TPWD’s specialized units is the “Scout Team,” a group of 25 wardens who “have received a variety of training and can be used in border operations, dignitary protection, or any form of high-risk law enforcement, such as serving felony arrests or hostage situations,” explains Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine.   Continue reading “Texas Game Wardens Prepare for War”

Those who heat their homes and businesses with lower cost fracked natural gas were hoping for yet another mild winter to save themselves some bucks. Well, so much for that. It’s negated now with the ‘polar vortex’ of cold sweeping the country. The economy of the poor takes another hit with every dollar spent on heat means a dollar that won’t be spent on something else, like food.

HAARP attack? I don’t know about that but we’ll give the conspiracists some leeway. More mainstream conspiracists will continue to insist this is man-made climate change.    Continue reading “So Much For That”

Gun records checks, fueled by a post-Newtown boom of gun sales, hit a new high in 2013, and industry analysts expect ammunition to be the big seller this year as consumers catch up to all of those firearms purchases.

More than 21 million applications were run through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System last year, marking nearly an 8 percent increase and the 11th straight year that the number has risen.   Continue reading “Gun sales hit new record, ammo boom to follow”

As complementary and holistic healing modalities rise in popularity, consumers are becoming more vigilant about what they consume. This means that the $37 billion processed food industry is finally dealing with scrutiny from the FDA and concerned citizens regarding the ingredients and sourcing of many food items.

With this increase of awareness, Americans are realizing that not only are the types of foods consumed imperative in supporting or degenerating health, but the source is just important as well. And while measures have been adopted in other countries to ensure citizens are protected from toxic chemicals and low quality products, the United States is one of the only nations that has yet to increase it’s food standards.  Continue reading “10 Foods Available in the US that are Banned Elsewhere”
