On Friday, Vice President Joe Biden used an Independence Day celebration and speech in Philadelphia to compare gay marriage to the Civil Rights Movement and push for more gay marriage.

According to The Hill, “[Biden] said he was reminded of two Philadelphias, one where the Declaration of Independence was signed 238 years ago and the other in Mississippi where civil rights workers were murdered in June 1964, two weeks before President Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act.” After saying that the two Philadelphias helped give meaning to the words “all men are created equal,” Biden reportedly said that gay marriage was the next battle to expand the “notion that all men are created equal.”   Continue reading “Joe Biden: Gay Marriage Fulfills Declaration of Independence”

Just a few minutes ago, on Limbaugh’s program, for most of his second hour (July 8).

Rush got a call from a retired Doctor and his wife (location uncertain) who informed him that their local Catholic Church is cooperating with DHS on the illegal immigrant situation, and that the church has requested them to take in and house within their home a number of the illegal refugees for a limited period of time, with promises of future reimbursement for any out-of-pocket expenses. They have also been enjoined “not to speak with anyone about this.”   Continue reading “Church asking parishioners to quarter illegals”

Prosecutors in Northern California will not bring criminal charges against a sheriff’s deputy who shot and killed a 13-year-old boy for carrying a plastic replica of an assault rifle which the officer mistook for an actual firearm.

The Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office released a report on Monday concluding that Deputy Erick Gelhaus “honestly and reasonably” acted out of belief that he faced an imminent threat of death or serious injury to himself or others when he shot eighth-grader Andy Lopez in Santa Rosa, California last October.   Continue reading “California cop spared charges for killing 13-year-old boy carrying toy gun”

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (AP) — A roller coaster hit a tree branch at the Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park Monday, dislodging the front car, leaving four people slightly injured and keeping nearly two dozen summer fun-seekers hanging 20 to 30 feet in the air for hours as day turned to night.

Two of the four people hurt on the Ninja coaster were taken to a hospital as a precaution, but all the injuries were minor, fire and park officials said. “We were going across one turn and all of a sudden a loud noise happened,” Jeremy Ead, one of the injured riders, told KCAL-TV. “I ducked down just in time. A hard branch hit me in the head. I was there bleeding from my head, which was a little worse than this,” he said, pointing to a gash in his forehead.   Continue reading “All riders now off disabled California coaster”

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — In the mid-1950s, air travel was a shadow of the highly advanced operation of checks and rules seen today. The skies were largely uncontrolled, and pilots outside major U.S. cities relied on sight to avoid catastrophes.

Then, two commercial airplanes crashed over the Grand Canyon in June 1956, killing all 128 people aboard in the deadliest aviation disaster of the time and helping spur an overhaul to flight safety. A country already grappling with increasingly busy skies pressured Congress for major changes to improve air traffic control and radar systems and to create a federal agency to regulate it.   Continue reading “Grand Canyon crash a game-changer in air travel”

WEB Notes: The relentless flood of illegal immigrants to the US is not due to conflict. Rumors have spread that the US is going to grant amnesty to those inside the country. I would argue amnesty has already been granted. Since when does a nation allow and assist law breakers into their own country?

As the media continues to report on the threats and protests down at the border and as more and more militias form up and head down there, it is important for us to take a step back and not lose focus on the overall picture.

We the People must keep in mind that this mass blitz to the border may be just what our treasonous government wants as they attack somewhere else that’s left unguarded or unattended. We must keep an eye on all sides of the war, if we are to survive and be successful.

With the media spotlight on Murrietta, CA lately, we are now seeing concerts and a whole Occupy kind of movement going on with the Anti-immigrant and Pro-immigrant protesters, along with the Communist Party, all gathering to try and compete to take control of the whole situation.   Continue reading “We the People Need to Take the Initiative and Tackle the Problem at its Source!”

The next time you wolf down that Big Mac with large fries consider you may be affecting more than your own waistline. Scientists now say an unhealthy diet can be encoded into DNA, which is passed down to future generations.

By now, most people have heard various negative things about a Western diet: it is too fatty, too salty and too sugary. It can cause problems to the immune system, disturb the chemical makeup of the stomach, and, perhaps the most obvious of all symptoms, lead to obesity.   Continue reading “Junk food gets encoded in DNA of future children, scientists discover”
