Military contractor Lockheed Martin unveiled a new laser that is so powerful it can disable a vehicle parked more than a mile away.

It’s a system that is probably the most powerful the company has ever rolled out, and Lockheed tested it by firing it from a mile away and aiming at the engine of a small truck. A Newark NJ police chief said in his retirement speech, “They want us to come to them,” he said. “People don’t want to put their hands up, they want to challenge you.” You can read it here. He continued to reminisce about a time when he started his career, and people just did whatever an officer told them to do. He misses that. I think we all miss a time when walking down the street did not mean you would be contacted by a cop, too.

We all miss the days when police could be trusted. These cops fail to see the situations they created. Then they want to blame the people in society. They blame the abuse on the bad apples. They blame everything else, except their own selves. So the whole Hillary Clinton email story is getting worse and worse for Clinton. We already noted that there was no way she couldn’t have known that she had to use government email systems for government work, as there was a big scandal from the previous administration using private emails and within the early Obama administration as well. This morning we discovered that Clinton also gave clintonemail.com email addresses to staffers, which undermines the argument made by Hillary’s spokesperson that it was okay for her to use her own email address because any emails with staffers would still be archived by the State Department thanks to their use of state.gov emails. The Justice Department reportedly is preparing to charge New Jersey Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez with corruption counts over allegations he used his office to help a Democratic donor.

A person familiar with a federal investigation of  Menendez told the Associated Press the Justice Department is expected to bring criminal charges against him in the coming weeks.

KOHIMA: A man, accused of raping a girl, was beaten to death today after being pulled out of a jail by a mob at Dimapur in Nagaland.

A mass protest rally against the rape was held at Dimapur this morning after which students and angry people forced into the district jail and managed to pull out the accused.
