The Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA), an entity on contract to the US Department of Defense has released a previously classified military document which confirms Israel’s nuclear weapons program.

This is considered to be a landmark decision, widely interpreted as constituting a semi-official recognition by the US Department of Defense that Israel is a bona fide nuclear power.  While the document confirms what is already known regarding Israel’s nuclear arsenal, the political implications are potentially far-reaching, particularly in relation to the ongoing negotiations pertaining to Iran’s alleged nuclear program.”   Continue reading “Pentagon Recognizes “Officially” that Israel is a Nuclear Power. DOC FIX BILLHuffington Post – by Jeffrey Young

WASHINGTON — It’s been called “dumb,” “bad policy” and “common-sense-defying.” And that’s by the people in charge of it. It’s also called the “doc fix,” and it’s finally letting out its death rattle.

At long last, Congress on Tuesday killed off a policy with no defenders that has served as an excuse for crisis-motivated legislating for years.   Continue reading “Good Riddance To One Of Congress’ Dumbest Rituals: The ‘Doc Fix’”

OAKLEY, MI — A name commonly heard shouted over a rap/rock mix of drums, bass, guitars and turntables is one that the village of Oakley fought to keep quiet for years.

Robert James Ritchie, known by the stage name Kid Rock, is listed on an application for the village police reserve force that Hemlock Attorney Philip Ellison received in the mail from Oakley earlier this month.

The name is perhaps the most famous one associated with the Oakley Police Department’s reserve unit, which includes many well known Michigan professionals and Miami Dolphins player Jason Fox.   Continue reading “Kid Rock named on Oakley Police reserve application, attorney says”

ISIS camps have now been discovered directly across the U.S. border with Mexico, ISIS operatives have been captured illegally entering the United States, and ISIS is threatening to conduct a massive campaign of terror against U.S. targets, and yet Barack Obama and his underlings continue to insist that “right-wing extremists” are the greatest terror threat that this nation is facing.  One recent survey found that 84 percent of all Americans believe that ISIS is a “direct threat to the USA”, but Obama refuses to secure our borders and he is even allowing dozens of American citizens that fought for ISIS overseas to come back into this country.  What in the world is Obama thinking?  Even though ISIS has promised to drown all of us in our own blood, the Obama administration has purged virtually all references to Islam out of government terror training materials.  Meanwhile, as you will see below, Obama’s political enemies have been regularly labeled as “potential terrorists” in official government documents during the Obama era.  This includes “patriots”, “conspiracy theorists”, “evangelical Christians” and “general right-wing extremists”.   Continue reading “ISIS Has Camps On The U.S. Border, But Obama Says ‘Right-Wing Extremists’ Are The Greatest Terror Threat”

Water and air are the most important resources on the planet. Breathing clean air seems to be accepted as a noble goal and the cost attributed to its improvement is usually universally accepted. However, the same cannot be said about access to fresh water as big business interests often argues. Many corporate interests contend that private ownership of public water out- weighs the rights of actual property owners. Corporate agriculture is quite different from traditional family farming. Yet, the factory farms that have taken over agribusiness demonstrate little regard for preserving a viable water supply.   Continue reading “Corporate Farms Control of Water”

Opponents of legalizing marijuana can’t be happy about several new polls released Tuesday. Majority support for making cannabis legal is holding steady, while young adults are legalization’s biggest fans. And that’s true both nationally and in several swing states.

Nationally, 53 percent of Americans support legalization, according to a new Pew Research Center survey. Pew found essentially the same result, 54 percent in favor, in a similar poll last year.   Continue reading “Foes Of Marijuana Legalization Can’t Like These New Numbers”

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Legislative efforts to tighten gun control in Oregon cleared an important hurdle Tuesday after senators approved a measure designed to expand background checks for most private gun sales.

Under the bill, gun buyers and sellers who aren’t closely related would have to appear in person before a licensed gun dealer who can run a background check, for a fee, through the Oregon State Police. Sellers who don’t do the background check face a misdemeanor charge for a first offense and a felony charge for a second one.   Continue reading “Oregon Senate advances bill expanding gun background checks”

The New York branch of the U.S. Federal Reserve, wary that a natural disaster or other eventuality could shut down its market operations as it approaches an interest rate hike, has added staff and bulked up its satellite office in Chicago.

Some market technicians have transferred from New York and others were hired at the office housed in the Chicago Fed, according to several people familiar with the build-out that began about two years ago, after Hurricane Sandy struck Manhattan.   Continue reading “Wary of natural disaster, NY Fed bulks up in Chicago”

Parents opposed to a California legislative effort to revoke their ability to exempt their children from some vaccinations plan to bring their children to a hearing Wednesday before the Senate Education Committee–and promise to yank those kids out of school if the measure passes into law.

The Democrat-sponsored Senate Bill 277 was proposed in response to a measles outbreak whose spread began at Disneyland last December. If passed, SB 277 would remove parents’ ability to sign a waiver that currently allows them to exempt their children from one or more school required vaccinations.   Continue reading “Vaccine Bill Opponents: We’ll Pull Our Kids out of School”
