The Modesto Bee – by ROSALIO AHUMADA AND ERIN TRACY

Prominent Modesto criminal defense attorney Frank Carson and eight others, including three California Highway Patrol officers, were arrested Friday for their suspected involvement in the 2012 death of Korey Kauffman. The 26-year-old Turlock man’s body was found in Mariposa County a year and a half after he went missing.

A 326-page arrest affidavit details an alleged conspiracy with Carson as its ringleader. The defense attorney, who last year ran for district attorney, is described as a vengeful property owner trying to send a message to people allegedly stealing scrap metal and antiques from his property in Turlock.   Continue reading “Prominent Modesto defense attorney Frank Carson arrested on suspicion of murder; 3 CHP officers also arrested in connection with case”

Yosemite National Park closed another campsite after it was discovered that squirrels in that area had died of the plague. The plague is spread through fleas, so the campsite needs to be treated to kill those fleas before reopening.

According to RT.com on August 15, these campsites book up months in advance so the people holding reservations for next week at the 304-site Tuolumne Meadows Campground will be out of luck. The Yosemite officials said that those folks with reservations on the days the campsite will be closed are being contacted and their reservations canceled, according to MSN News.   Continue reading “Yosemite closes another campsite: Dead squirrels found to have plague”

New small explosions rocked a disaster zone in the Chinese port of Tianjin on Saturday, as authorities pulled out an additional survivor and began evacuating the area to clean up chemical contamination nearly three days after massive explosions touched off the crisis.

Angry relatives of missing firefighters stormed a government news conference to demand any information on their loved ones, who have not been found since a fire and rapid succession of blasts late Wednesday at a warehouse for hazardous chemicals.   Continue reading “More explosions have rocked a disaster zone in China”

A federal appeals court on Friday threw out a lawsuit brought by an Arizona sheriff who argued that President Barack Obama’s executive actions on immigration were unconstitutional.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit upheld a district court judge’s finding that Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio lacked standing to sue, a provision in U.S. law that means he has to prove he has been directly harmed.   Continue reading “U.S. court throws out Arizona sheriff’s immigration policy challenge”

Earlier this month 21WIRE reported on a spate of violent incidents carried out by extremist Israeli settlers, police and IDF, against the native Palestinians.

Israel, its lobby and its agents have been working overtime to rehabilitate Israel’s image ever since last year’s massacre by the IDF in Gaza. Cop Block

This is an update to the story I brought to you earlier in the week about the Alabama officer that was knocked out after a fight with a suspect and the bystanders took pictures instead of helping.  Fed Up Citizens Taunt and Take Pictures of Injured Officer.

According to a report by New York Daily News, the still unidentified officer has stated that he did not shoot the suspect out of fear of being the next vilified cop making national headlines for shooting an unarmed black man.  It is reported that the suspect exited his car and moved in on the officer, sucker punched him; knocking him to the ground, before gaining control of his pistol and striking him in the head numerous times.   Continue reading “Update: Pistol Whipped Cop Was Afraid of Making Headlines”

Health Wyze – by C. Thomas Corriher

Spraining an ankle should never be a death sentence, and historically it was not cause for funeral arrangements. It now sometimes is, alongside heart disease, blood pressure, diabetes, and the long montage of other medically-aggravated conditions. Spraining his ankle was a death sentence for Shane Geiger. We were not given much opportunity to get close to him before his life was lost. Shane was an up-and-coming member of our Sarah’s elite Web Team (network engineering) for Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth during the period that she worked for them. It appears that he was previously an honorary staff member of Prison Planet, and his pointed questions at an official governmental press conference about the Trade Center attacks left one cronie almost running to escape. We watched the video wherein Shane left a N.I.S.T. representative stuttering and making a rapid departure. In this information war, we were proud to call him an ally. He was known for being a little bit paranoid, but in light of his bizarre death, his paranoia may have been justified.   Continue reading “Shane Geiger: Death By Sprained Ankle and Modern Medicine’s Miracles”
