DHS latest attempt to keep the public in fear, claim lone-wolf attacks could happen any day now

DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson said Sunday that the United States is facing a new era in which a lone-wolf terrorist could “strike at any moment.”

Keeping the American public in fear is what It’s all about. We can’t have DHS/police budgets dry up right Mr. Johnson?   

“We’re very definitely in a new environment, because of ISIL’s effective use of social media, the Internet, which has the ability to reach into the homeland and possibly inspire others,” Johnson said in an interview with ABC’s “This Week,” using the administration’s preferred acronym for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

“Because of the use of the Internet, we could have little or no notice in advance of an independent actor attempting to strike.”

As a result, Johnson said, the federal government is making a greater effort to engage with state and local law enforcement and encourage them to be “vigilant” about what is happening in their communities.

This last statement proves two things, one DHS and our police are one entity and two they’re complicit in using another false-flag to scare the public. Remember this is the very same DHS that lied and claimed malls were being targeted by ISIS when their budget was under attack.

Later DHS had to admit there were no credible threats to ANY malls in America.

Now that people are waking up and threating the NSA’s DHS and the DEA’s mass surveillance of Americans without a warrant campaign. DHS plants, sorry politicians like Senator Burr claim 9/11 could have been preventable with mass surveillance.

Speaking on ABC’s “This Week,” Burr, who chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee, rejected the idea of returning to a narrower surveillance program that would only collect data on people suspected of being terrorists. “That turns us back to pre-9/11,” said Burr. “It was very time consuming, it was cumbersome.”

Explaining the decision to pass the Patriot Act, Burr said, “What we looked at was the impact of 9/11 and the fact that we might have been able to stop 9/11, had we had bulk collection.”

“I do think it should continue for the simple reason that it’s very effective at keeping America safe,” Burr said Sunday. “And in addition to that, we’ve had absolutely no incident of anybody’s privacy being intruded on.”

And Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell defended The NSA’s mass surveillance of Americans:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Sunday defended his support for a measure in the USA Patriot Act that has anchored a National Security Agency program to collect Americans’ phone data.

Speaking at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute in Boston, McConnell called the measure “an important tool to prevent the next terrorist attack,” and pledged to continue fighting for it against recent challenges.

“The nation is better off with an extension of the Patriot Act than not, but we’ll see where the votes go,” McConnell said.

  1. Their spying and monitoring of nationals is only to keep themselves safe and they are making us pay for it. F’g US with our own d’s is their modus operandi time and again but some people refuse to accept that truth. Can’t wait to force feed these kosher scumbags raw pork seved from a plate that has milk on it.

  2. Keeping the public in fear is standard operating procedure, but this “lone wolf” angle is being pursued to justify extended, and increased surveillance, and it provides a convenient label for the media to use on any Patriot who gets arrested.

    “We’re lucky we caught him driving without a seat belt, because it turns out that he was a “lone-wolf” terrorist who owns high-capacity magazines”.
