Another toy for the mall ninjas. The purpose of the 5.56 rifle is the fact that it is light and you can carry a lot of ammo. This will be a lot heavier and require you to carry more ammo.
There is nothing wrong with the 5.56/.223. It is a small round, but extremely lethal at short and longer distances.
Indeed, impractical, another characteristic of the AR platform is they are typically capable of decent acuracy, this would negate that 1/2 the time.

I figured the purpose was that a single .223 usually won’t stop the enemy so they thought…why not try two! I’ll stick with 7.62 rounds, thanks.
remember to shake your ammo.lol
another absurd answer to a nonexistent problem.
If you can’t hit what you aim at with a single barrel, Then maybe a mini-gun is what you need. Or maybe you should just consider not having a gun at all.
While I agree not practical,if bored, had the time and was at mill could see something like this as a winter project for the heck of it,that said,am soon going to take a weekend course to build a Kentucky long rifle,am looking forward to it and once again while not the most practical thing always wanted one and should be a fun workshop.
