Downtown Federal Building Evacuated For Bomb Threat, Standoff

Los Angeles, CA – LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The downtown Federal Building was evacuated today when a woman carrying a backpack claimed she had a bomb in the lobby of the building.

The threat at the building at 300 N. Los Angeles St. was made by the  woman around 11 a.m., said Los Angeles police Officer Liliana Preciada. An LAPD  bomb squad was dispatched to the scene, Preciada said.  

The woman making the threat exited the building and was standing outside as of 12:30 p.m. A series of streets in the civic center area.

Witnesses told NBC4 that the woman was yelling at officers and holding her hand as if she was carrying a detonator.

  1. Hmmm…. two domestic terror events in one day. (we have the bomb on the freight train, too)

    I guess we’re real lucky that the Jade Helm crew is here to protect us. You better be ready to rock. Things seem to be moving quickly.
