Dozens Serving Life in Prison for Weed, as Cops Get No Jail for Kidnapping, Raping Teen

New York, NY — If ever you feel that the state has your interests in mind when they provide their mandatory “protection” through this system of law enforcement, consider the following scenario which completely negates that idea. When a system lets a pair of rapist police officers go free while locking people in a cage for life for selling a plant—that system does not have your interests in mind.

It has been nearly two years since then 18-year-old Anna Chambers accused two on-duty NYPD officers of raping her in the back of a police van on the night of September 15th, 2017. As emphatically as she claims she was raped and did not consent to having sex with two police officers, she asserts not only have the police continued to attempt to intimidate her but the very justice system she looked to for help was set up to help the alleged rapists. Then, last month, her claims were proven correct.

Both of the officers, Eddie Martins and Richard Hall had faced up to 25 years in prison on the original rape and kidnapping charges. However, in March, they had all those charges dropped. Because the system is set up in a way to protect predator police officers, the charges were reduced to bribery and official misconduct. Then, in August, despite the Brooklyn district attorney’s ardent opposition to the sweetheart deal, both cops dodged jail time for their crimes.

“These defendants engaged in a shocking abuse of power which they finally acknowledged,” said Brooklyn chief prosecutor Eric Gonzalez, according to the NY Daily News. “While I would have preferred to see them serve prison time, they are no longer members of our police department and with (their) pleas are convicted felons.”

“It’s just outrageous,” said Chambers’ lawyer, Michael David. “It was a clear-cut case. She was kidnapped. There was DNA evidence,” he said.

“You can’t have consent, when you have two cops on duty. These are two cops over six feet, over two hundred pounds.”

“She is 5-foot-2, 90 pounds,” he added of Chambers.

“They have guns, they have handcuffs. You can’t have consent under those circumstances.”

We agree. When armed individuals chain a person’s hands and kidnap them, there is no reasonable manner in which that person could consent to having sex. Even if there was no struggle and the arrested person goes along with police demands, when you are under duress and kidnapped against your will, there is no consenting. This is de facto rape.

Nevertheless, the officers walked.

Now for the extremely infuriating part of this story. After these officers kidnapped a teen, and raped her in their van, they received not a single day in jail but the people below have never harmed anyone and are rotting away.

Meet John Knock, Paul Free, Leopoldo Hernandez-Miranda, Antonio Bascaro, Kenny Kubinski, Larry Duke, Billy Dekle, Craig Cesal, Jeff Mizanskey, and Fred Cundiff.

What do all these people and dozens of others have in common? They have all been sentenced to life in prison. Were they kidnapping teenagers and raping them in vans? No. Instead, they were caught in possession of a plant the state has deemed as illegal.

All of these men have served far more time in jail than Eddie Martins and Richard Hall ever will, and their “crimes” have no victim.

Thanks to the state’s insane and immoral war on drugs, prisons are full of non-violent drug offenders. Thanks to sentencing laws, like the three strikes rule, anyone caught with drugs three times has to be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for at least 25 years.

As tens of thousands of non-violent drug offenders rot in jail cells from coast to coast, monster serial rapists like Jerome Arps benefit from the drug war by being let out to make room for druggies.

Kidnapping and locking people in cages for their personal choice to possess a substance is immoral. However, releasing violent criminals to make room for the non-violent drug offenders is downright preposterous and evil.

When will Americans wake up to the war on drugs?

As police apologists are spreading the myth that there is a war on cops, they are missing the entire point. If they really cared about Blue lives, then they would call for an end to the drug war. Most police-to-citizen interactions are due to the war on drugs. Most criminals are created due to the war on drugs. Most gang violence is due to the war on drugs.

The system knows that making substances illegal creates a black market monopoly and allows these elite criminal gang units to flourish as they control the supply. They also know that they will get constant funding and loads of new military toys for perpetuating this war, so they refuse to end it.

When the criminals and the state agree that drugs should be illegal, the line between criminals and law enforcement becomes blurred.

Is the criminal the 19-year-old kid who tries to sell a little pot to make some extra cash or the cop who would deprive a young man of his future by kidnapping, caging or killing him over a plant?

As the fingers in D.C. continue to point across the aisle to lay blame for an increase in violent crime and overcrowded prisons, the misinformed taxpayer funded circus can’t see the giant pink elephant in their ranks.

As long as politicians and their enforcers continue down this hellish path of prohibition, we can expect things to get much worse.

It is well past the time that we end the war on drugs.

Share this article with your friends and family to show them how the war on drugs leads to rapists being set free while peaceful individuals rot in jail for a plant.

  1. “However, releasing violent criminals to make room for the non-violent drug offenders is downright preposterous and evil.”

Welcome to the New World Order.

  3. Punishment should be solitary confinement with the Harlem Globetrotters and a case of Viagra.

    Bailiff, WHACK those men’s pee-pees!

But seriously, in 2017 52 pigs were relieved of their duties by firearms vs 1,147 of US being whacked by them, so the “war” on them is beyond preposterous.

When they begin raping a 5 year old repeatedly over the course of years and they can walk with probation, not much else is shocking. Not justifying it, mind you. SICK FK’s, man, and they EARN the hate, amongst any other punishment they receive.
