IJ Review – by MICHAEL HAUSAMOutside of a U.S. Marine Corps recruiting office in Washington, a woman was in the process of being robbed by two thugs in a parking lot when she repeatedly honked her truck’s horn. They’d threatened her and she said they had a firearm.
Three Marines came running from the office, saw the woman who was yelling for help, intervened, and instantly put an end to the altercation.
One of the Marines, Staff Sergeant Ben Shoemaker said this:
“She said, ‘Help me. I’m being robbed!’ I stopped paying attention to her. She’s not the problem.
That kid was never going to outrun me. Marines run towards the sound of chaos.
It’s really what I’m trained to do, be it recruiting, be it that; my job is to protect the United States Public.”
One of the suspects was detained by one the trio with an arm bar and was held until police arrived. Police are still searching for the other suspect, who escaped.

Here’s hoping you honor that commitment when you receive orders to the contrary, Marine.

I’m surprised the police didn’t tell the marine to get on the ground in order to handcuff and tase him. After all, the police think they have to handcuff and detain EVERYONE at the scene until THEY feel it is necessary to release them (since they always want to be the ones in charge of everything, regardless of who you are) and if you don’t respect that, they will most likely beat the hell out of you like the bullies that they are, get two weeks paid vacation and be released from any charges or liability while imprisoning you instead.
I thought one of the rules for being a pig cop these days is to beat up and discredit veterans and members of the military whenever they get a chance. How come they didn’t do that this time?
In any case, like #1 says, when the time comes, I hope guys like this marine stand up to protect We the People and not the treasonous government.
However, being the fact that he is technically following Barry’s orders for the most part, isn’t he technically committing treason already?
Sometimes you want to applaud our military for doing things like this, while at other times, you want to smack them upside the head for not going to DC and arresting all of the bastards for sedition and high treason.
