FDR played to the fear of the American people by claiming we have nothing to fear but fear itself.
A lot of people back then wouldn’t have pissed on FDR if he were on fire.

I also blame him for the 2nd World War. He is the one that convinced the Poles to start attacking German civilians in the disputed territories.
