Florida Joins Texas-Led Lawsuit Against Obama’s Executive Amnesty

Breitbart – by Sarah Rumpf

AUSTIN, Texas — Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi announced on Friday that Florida would be joining the lawsuit filed by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott against the Obama administration for the President’s executive immigration actions to grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants.

As Breitbart Texas reported on Wednesday, Abbott, joined by seventeen other states, filed a complaint in the United States District Court in the Southern District of Texas, alleging that Obama’s executive action violates the Take Care Clause of Article II, § 3, clause 5 of the United States Constitution and the Administrative Procedure Act, 5 U.S.C. §§551 et seq.

In a press release posted on the Florida Attorney General’s website, Bondi released the following statement:

“This lawsuit is not about immigration, rather this lawsuit is about President Obama — yet again — overstepping the power granted to him by our United States Constitution. The President repeatedly said he would not violate the law, then decided to do just that. The powers granted to the President are expressly laid out in the United States Constitution, yet President Obama has decided to ignore those parameters. We need to fix our system of immigration, but willfully turning a blind eye to the inconvenience of law and rule is not the path to a remedy, but a prescription for unwarranted presidential overreach.”

In the general election in November, Abbott was elected to be Texas’ next Governor, and will leave the Attorney General’s office in January. His successor, Attorney General-elect Ken Paxton, has vowed to continue to support this lawsuit when he takes over from Abbott. In the same elections in Florida, Bondi was re-elected to another four year term as Attorney General, and will continue to represent the state as this litigation moves forward.

    1. Exactly! Barry has committed every treasonous and criminal act in the book. When are they gonna cut with the shit and arrest his ass and get it over with?

Answer: They never will. It’s up to We the People to do the job and to arrest all of the politicians who are committing treason by refusing to do their job, as well.

      1. I’m pretty sure that’s a grasshopper in the photo, not a cricket.

        Could be wrong, though.

Oh, well, “What difference at this point does it make?”

Makes a difference to the grasshopper/cricket?

    1. LOL… Couldn’t find the one I used to use, Cathleen. That was an alternate. 😉

Dinnertime, starvin’, back in a while.
