Foreign Ministry: Allegations of armed forces using toxic gas in Damascus countryside untrue

Syrian Arab News Agency

Damascus, (SANA) – An official spokesman at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said that the cooperation agreement between Syria and the international committee for investigating the use of weapons of mass destruction in some areas in Syria didn’t please the terrorists and the countries supporting them, which is why they came up with new false allegations that the Armed Forces used toxic gas in Damascus Countryside.

The spokesman said that the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry affirms that these allegations are false and untrue, and that the Ministry would like to point out that Syria has repeatedly announced that it will never use any weapons of mass destruction against its own people, if such weapons exist.

The spokesman said that these lies and allegations have become well-known to the Syrian government and people, and that the allegations constitute an attempt to prevent the international investigation committee from carrying outs its task and to influence the committee’s report.

  1. I have got to say this smells of false flag like a month old kipper does left out in the sun, in other words this really stinks.

So here we of some vestige of mind are supposed to believe that President Assad and his band of merry wizards decided to unleash nerve gases whilst showing around the UN investigative team investigating alleged similar incidents at the same time? I mean c’mon do they really really believe we are THAT stupid?

This strikes me as an act of desperation born on the cusp of madness to try and throw this country to the US and Israeli dogs and to force Russia to back away, are we led to forget that it was only a couple of weeks back that the ever handy “Al Qaida” were caught in Iraq and Turkey virtually at the same time with massive stockpiles of chemical weapons?

Wasn’t there an article too that had discovered that most of the native Syrians had accepted Assad’s amnesty leaving a vastly foreign “force” to carry on the fighting? This defies logic when the Syrian rebellion is failing and Assad has the upper hand, why would he NEED to gas people is a very valid question here.

And before the pundits point out about shelling, well where is the US intelligence photos showing the shells being fired, in trajectory and falling to explode? I should imagine the US has 24/7 satellite coverage on Damascus. The cameras on those satellites are alleged to be able to read a newspaper lying on the pavement so tracking artillery rounds should be no problem. Why on earth would Assad shell his own back yard and stronghold too? Just doesn’t add up, lets see those photos and video streams.

Isn’t this just a bit too coincidental too with the US and UK under public meltdown over the recent faux pas with Greenwald’s partner at Heathrow?
