Gas explosion destroys house in New Jersey

A police dashboard camera has caught the moment a house exploded in New Jersey on Tuesday, injuring 15 people.

NJ Gas were aware of a mains gas leak in the area of Route 9 and Oak Avenue and Stafford Township, and were evacuating homes and investigating the source of the leak when the explosion occurred.

No-one was in the house at the time of the explosion, but seven gas company workers were injured in the blast, two critically.

Six firefighters and two paramedics also suffered concussions from the shock wave from the blast.
