On Monday morning Mark Schumacher, a writer and contributor to this site, suffered an attack and was transported via ambulance to Loveless Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is now undergoing surgery to remove eleven feet of his intestine. The doctors were not sure if it is a tumor or diverticulitis. We will update this as we get more information.
Mark is a long haul truck driver who lives in his truck and has no permanent home. We here in the Trenches are Mark’s only family.
If you would like to send a card or gift, there is a gift shop in the hospital where you can call and get it sent to his room.
- The number for the gift shop is 505-727-8170.
- Mark’s room number is 1032.
It would sure make his spirits rise to see affirmation that he has family out here who care about him.
Update Wednesday Morning:
Mark came through the surgery just fine and is in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
Will update with more details as we get them.
Update Wednesday Afternoon:
Mark called into the Word From the Trenches today.
He is doing better. They removed a tumor the size of a small watermelon from his lower intestine. He is still in ICU so has not seen the cards and gifts you all have been sending. He cannot get to a computer yet to see all the well wishes but hopefully will be able to soon. I sent him a link to this post so that he can read them when he is able.
He will have to undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments when he has recovered from the surgery.
Mark, keeping you in thought and prayer everything goes well and a speedy recovery. Blessings, love and light. Hope to see you back soon, all my best.

Also, you might want to do as much research on that diverticulitis as you can, and don’t just trust what the doctors say.

THis piece is a
class act , on a class internet site
visited by people of class
who have the heart and soul
which explains the classiness of America…
May this man in his time of need receive all these
comments and love from strangers
who if they could be, would each be there in person
offering strength and love….
And America is all about killing?
I don’t believe so.
Get well soon!

Well put.
🙂 🙂 🙂
Henry, thank you for bringing this to everyone’s attention here at the trenches. I am hoping for a quick and full recovery for Mark. I can relate to his circumstances as I had a good chunk of my large intestine removed back in 2003. Mark is always a pleasure to hear on the air when he calls in, and his articles are always informative and to the point. He is indeed part of the family here. Get well soon Mark! I hope you’re back on the road very soon!
God be with you, Mark, and blessings for a full recovery. DL.
Thoughts and prayers are with you brother Mark. Get well soon!
Godspeed…….
Oh my goodness … Mark you are in my thoughts and prayers. Get well soon Mark! Let us know if you need anything. Virtual flowers and big hugs to you. 🙂

Very glad to hear!
TY!
Thanks for that post, Henry. Mark was on my mind first thing this morning-wondering how the surgery went. Wishing you a speedy and healthy recovery, Mark.
🙂
Brother Mark, I’ve always enjoyed the articles you’ve written, and some of the comments you’ve posted have literally cracked me up at times. Your insight and input have always been greatly appreciated.
You already know how I feel about the ‘medical’ profession, so I’ll be praying that you receive nothing but the best of care, the best of surgeons, and the speediest of recoveries possible. We need all the patriots we can get for the coming revolution, so get well soon, my friend. Wouldn’t want you to miss out on all the festivities when we finally get around to hanging all the traitors in this country. Looking forward to celebrating our independence once again with you, Henry & Laura, and all the rest of my good friends here at FTT.
Blessings, brother. Get well soon. 🙂

Mark, best wishes and prayers for you.Keep the dirty side down and the shiney side up brother.
Hey Mark, good to hear you on “The Word” today. I pray that the tumor was benign and that you experience a speedy recovery. Again, get well soon brother.
I wish you well Mark!
We need all the good people we can muster in this day and age.
Thanks for all of the well wishes you guys. I just now today was able to read your great comments and am sure they will help me recover from this nightmare. You all are truly my friends, I’ve been blessed.
Good news is I’m alive with relatively no pain at this time with a 15 inch open incision to let drain with having to put wet dry dressing at the moment until I can get a portable wound pump to close gaping wound with a drain tube with 24 hour suction. This is how they felt best for recovery sense stitching up completely wasn’t in the cards. Why I have no idea, they wanted things to drain, while wound slowly closed shut on it’s own. Kind of gruesome isn’t it? The sucker is 5 inches wide at the top with internal stitches down deep that dissolve.
The wound pumps (politics) are difficult to get so I’m applying for social services for help. Doctors say this is normal as many have had open incisions before but I’m still concerned about infection. 150.00 a day to rent the suckers.
There was cancer. They say they felt they got it all, but chemo and radiation is on the table unless I do otherwise. It’s not an easy call…
65 percent of large intestine gone, along with a tumor the size of Manhattan that did burst and penetrate through the colon wall. No external bag, I’m still normal in that respect thank God.
Will keep everybody up to date as we get through this little bump in the road. I will be active on the site now since I no longer am working. Plan on returning to the truck ASAP. It will be a couple of months though.
I didn’t get al lot of the cards that were sent to me. The hospital dropped the ball, I asked for them numerous times but never received them.
God bless you all……
Mark
Like I replied to you on another article a minute or so today. With REDHORSE there and all those perty dancing girls there in Vegas, you will be up and at em in no time 🙂 🙂 . Good to see that you are feelin` and doing better bro.
Wow, Mark… That wound sounds spooky! I had no idea. Man, I prayed a couple of times for you with my wife, but, I am going to up it it to every morning, for sure.
Be Blessed my Brother and Keep Being a Blessing to us all.

Mark, great to hear that you’re doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances. I’m well acquainted with a hospital “dropping the ball”. It happened to me 4 1/2 yrs. ago, when they failed to catch the fact that I had a collapsed lung. As a result of that failure, I ended up having to have surgery to correct the problem, and since it took them so long to find out what was wrong, they had to remove a portion of my upper left lung. Although I never had it confirmed (due to the fact that I decided after that to never trust the so-called ‘medical’ establishment again), I ended up with lung cancer in that area where part of my lung was removed. I believe it was actually a blessing in disguise, since I started eating the apricot kernels once I was certain (the pain was a dead giveaway, since it increased every time I smoked). I know, stupid of me, but cigarettes are one hell of a hard habit to quit. But I say a blessing in disguise because not only did they cure my cancer, but also a good friend (Johnny G) of mine’s skin cancer. Also, it was the reason I wrote an article on this very subject (I still think it’s the best thing I’ve ever written, due to the nature of the information).
Please take the time to read it before making any decision on chemo and radiation, and also read the comments by others on it. I stand behind it 100%.
You need to understand that the cancer industry is not the least bit interested in curing cancer. Their only agenda is to ‘treat’ it, as there is no profit in curing it. Once cured, they’re no longer making money off of the patient, and that’s the ONLY thing they’re interested in, believe me.
I just received an e-mail from Henry with your ph #, and I do want to talk to you about this, but I would like to wait until after you read the article, so that I can answer any questions you may have (if I can). Just post a reply to me on this article when you’re ready to talk.
Blessings, and prayers for a continued and speedy recovery,
your friend and fellow patriot,

You will be a good teacher to Mark #1 when it comes to alternatives. I believe in alternative cures too, as you know , and I also know that they work. I know you are very good #1 and Mark – you keep the faith eh.
