I gotta be honest, folks, this is probably for me one of the most exciting and fascinating stories I’ve ever broken here at LibertyFight.com. As a Catholic civil rights advocate and truth-seeker I have long published stories which have a Catholic angle. Even though my audience is largely secular, I believe that all types of folks should work together for the greater good. I strongly advocate for the respect of our God-given rights and that government respect the inherent natural rights of all people. To me, the battle against all the evil in this world is primarily a spiritual battle.
So to find this morning a historical never-before published letter from the Martin Luther King Jr., who is regarded worldwide as the best-known civil rights leader, is astounding.
In the letter to a Catholic woman dated September 23, 1964, Dr. King praises the Catholic rosary! WOW! Whether or not you’re religious this is still of historical significance and interest. It affirms what we always say- we can work with atheists, Christians, Muslims and Jews, protestants and Catholics, working together for the greater good of society, America, and the world.
It all started when I found myself in Alabama this week and unbeknownst to me, I was very close to the EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network) Catholic studios in Irondale, Alabama. I had gone to Sunday vigil Mass this past Saturday night and a nice elderly gentleman informed me of the fact that EWTN, which airs Catholic programing worldwide and is the largest Catholic media network, was a mere ten minutes away.
I have posted a program from EWTN before,- the well known and respected libertarian author Dr. Tom Woods did a series for EWTN based on his best-selling book titled How the Catholic Church Built Western Civilization. Dr. Woods as you know is a historian, Austrian economist, friend of Ron Paul and Lew Rockwell and has a popular daily podcast and website, TomWoods.com.
The priest explains that when Dr. King was put in a jail in Birmingham Alabama, he wrote his famous Letter from a Birmingham Jail. In the letter, King quoted from both St. Augustine and Saint Thomas Aquinas. The priest explains that there was a lot of racial tension at the time and a Catholic woman wrote to Dr. King and suggested he pray the rosary and that they are praying for him and making rosaries for people involved in the civil rights movement.
In 2010, this woman, now 81 years old, wrote to the priest and asked him if he wanted the letter that Dr. King sent to her. Dr. King had written her and noted that he wanted to make sure to take the time to respond to her personally. He wrote,

Miss M. G. Blackburn
Hollywood, FloridaDear Miss Blackburn,Thank you for your letter of recent date. It is always a pleasure to share the opinions of our friends of goodwill. My apparent negligence was due to the fact that I wanted to give your letter my personal attention, and the tremendous volume of mail before me.
I appreciate very much your thoughtfulness in my behalf. The Rosary has proven to be very powerful. Your letter warmed my heart and gave me new determination.”
Let us continue to work and pray together for a better world.
Sincerely yours,
Martin Luther King, Jr.

“It affirms what we always say- we can work with atheists, Christians, Muslims and Jews, protestants and Catholics, working together for the greater good of society, America, and the world.”
“The greater good?” That’s Marxism! What about the individual and his right to be free?
VERY DISTURBING.
“As a Catholic civil rights advocate and truth-seeker…”
O.K., that’s as far as I go with this one.
The plain truth is, ‘seeker’, the Catholic church is a SATANIC INSTITUTION, and always has been.
You won’t find any truth there.
We do not have a Judeo-Christian heritage. The Jews do not believe in Jesus. This Priest is incorrect.
