‘I’m a slut’ posters promote ‘P***y Power’ event at CSUSM

Conservative students at California State University, San Marcos are taking issue with several “appalling” posters promoting a “P***y Power” event hosted by the Gender Equity Center.

The CSUSM College Republicans posted photos of the flyers to Facebook, remarking that “CSUSM is very progressive!”

“A compelling reason to tax the rich indeed. We are now ‘woke’ to the evils of the capitalist patriarchy,” the group remarked sarcastically in the post. “Not. We found these posters displayed in the student-funded Gender Equity Center. Another appalling display of Leftism on college campuses.”

The first poster—headlined “P***y Power”—declares that “the slut nation is here & we are pissed off!!! Run & hide you misogynistic, crust, f***k heads!”

“I’m a slut. I vote. So does everyone I sleep with,” proclaims the second poster, adding, “And you’re about to be more f***ked than I am.”

“We wholeheartedly reject the vulgar and hateful rhetoric on display by Leftist ideologies such as the messages in the posters” the CSUSM College Republicans Communications Director said in an email to Campus Reform. “It is a sad day to see ideas like this being fully embraced and behavior like this celebrated.”

The College Republicans later said that its female members found the posters degrading to women and did not think that it was an accurate representation of all women on campus.

“Our female members who saw this poster felt that it was an appalling characterization of women and was highly degrading,” said the College Republicans.

Erin Clements, a member of the College Republicans, said that she thought the posters were a joke at first and was confused as to why anyone would want to identify as a “slut,” saying she would prefer to be associated with titles such like student, scholar and leader.

“I feel like I’m categorized in this ‘slut nation’ and i don’t want to be,” she told Campus Reform. “Slut has always been a negative and derogatory term that I don’t want to be associated with.”

The posters come in the wake of a lawsuit filed in May by the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a law firm representing the CSUSM Students for Life organization, alleging that the group’s request for student activity fees to host pro-life speaker Professor Mike Adams from the University of North Carolina—Wilmington, was improperly denied by the campus’ Associated Student Government (ASI).

Students for Life president Nathan Apodaca told Campus Reform that a number of student centers on campus, such as the Gender Equity Center and LGBTQA Pride Center, receive between $150,000-$300,00 from student activity fees, while his organization has received no money at all.

“We found out that ASI has various centers set up and they will fund speakers for those centers if requested and give funding for those centers directly” Apodaca noted. “But we have received absolutely zero dollars; literally zero.”

Student activity fees are mandatory fees that CSUSM includes in the cost of tuition and makes available to student organizations, with a $500 limit for on-campus activities such as speakers and lecture series.

ADF says the university claims to prohibit student groups from spending these funds on expenses to bring speakers, but has provided well over the $500 limit to the Gender Equity Center and LGBTQA Pride center who are apparently exempt from the cap.

“In the 2016-2017 academic year, those two ‘centers’ received a combined $296,498 for speech and expressive activities,” ADF asserted in a press release. “This year the GEC hosted the ABC’s of LGBTQ: Queer Women and the so-called ‘Pleasure Party’ along with other workshops that include discussions on bondage, dominance, sadism, and other fetish-style practices.”

The Students for Life club is not the only organization on-campus questioning how the administration chooses to spend the student fees. The College Republicans said that it supports the lawsuit filed against the university and is providing assistance in whatever ways possible, adding that its members are dedicated to discussions that offer a variety of viewpoints.

“We are supporters of it and have tried to aid the [Students for Life] as best we can” said club’s Vice-President Josh Leibiwitz.

Neither the CSUSM Media and Communications Department nor the Gender Equity Center responded to requests for comment.

  1. Whores being deified. Can’t get more 0ne-Eighty than that. And they spew threats while mixing in their perverted message with left/right b.s.

Another thing I wonder about… When did ugly become the new beautiful?

    Jeez!!

    .

  2. ‘I’m a slut’ Oh I know. You’ve become so much easier to pick up. It’s not even worth the effort or the risk to try anymore. With rampant STD’s through the entire country is it worth even talking to you?

  3. I guess having a crusty pussy can make you a bit of a nasty person to deal with

    So most people don’t
It’s not hard to sniff these types out
It’s usually clearly written on their scowling ugly faces

Perfect example is Hillarys face and Moochelles
