A New York state Supreme Court judge has ruled in favor of a group of parents who objected to Rockland County’s emergency ban on unvaccinated kids. The emergency ban has been a continued point of contention in the region since it was enacted on March 30th. It was set to last 30 days, however, the new ruling has cut the time span short.
Rockland County Executive Ed Day’s order was intended to stop a measles outbreak. However, the measure was widely considered overreaching and draconian in nature. The ban ordered anyone under the age of 18 who was unvaccinated with a measles vaccine to stay out of public places. This included churches, schools, and even grocery stores.
A county attorney argued that the ban was helping to stop the spread of measles. However, the judge disagreed with the severity of the measure and granted a temporary injunction. The injunction ends the ban, at least temporarily. This gives way to unvaccinated youths to once again visit public places.
Day gave the following statement shortly after the ruling came down:
“While today’s ruling by Judge Thorsen did not go as we had expected I want to commend those here in Rockland who have used this State of Emergency as an opportunity to get vaccinated and have conversations with their friends and neighbors about vaccination. We sought to find a new way to fight back against a disease that was eradicated almost 20 years ago and refused to sit idly by while those in Rockland were put at risk.
What has not changed is our message of urgency. While the court may not agree with our action in this case, the disease continues unabated. One would think that seeing 42 exposures at a local hospital would garner the attention and judicial support it warrants and it is my view that waiting for a medical catastrophe is ill advised, particularly given the fact that we can see it coming. The uptick we predicted when we enacted our Declaration of Emergency unfortunately has come to pass with 167 cases and counting. Our Department of Health will continue doing everything possible to stem the tide of this outbreak and I urge those who are still unsure about the merits of immunization to talk to their doctors. Free MMR vaccinations were once again provided by our Health Department today at a clinic in Haverstraw, and we will continue to work with the Health Department to encourage residents to get vaccinated. This decision helps build momentum for those parents who seek the right to choose whether or not they vaccinate their children. The issue has reached critical mass in the media, who has covered the measles narrative relentlessly.

Just showed this to someone who thinks ‘vaccines’ are o.k. She’s semi-awake, but definitely not Trencher awake.
The people involved were Orthodox jews who returned after picking up measles in Israel. No judge in New York will allow measures against jews.
