Kevin Spacey will appear on the big screen at least one more time it has been revealed, with studio executives opting to keep the two-time Oscar winner in the upcoming film Billionaires Boys Club.
This is no small role either, with Spacey getting second billing in the film’s newly released trailer, which puts the accused pedophile on full display.
It is a sudden return for Spacey just nine months after he was accused of underage rape and sexual assault by multiple young men including Rent star Anthony Rapp.
Spacey has denied these allegations and ,managed to avoid the public eye ever since he went into hiding in Arizona late last year.
Spacey will play Ron Levin, a gay con artist who tricked a group of young men into launching a Ponzi scheme back in 1984, a move that eventually led to his murder.
His killer in the film will be played by his Baby Driver co-star, Ansel Elgort.
Levin’s body was never discovered however, leading some to believe he could still be alive.
Film distributor Vertical Entertainment made the decision to keep Spacey in the film despite the approaches taken by other companies over the past year.
Vertical did not respond to a request for comment.
Netflix chose to remove Spacey from the final season of House of Cards and permanently shelf the biopic Gore he starred in about Gore Vidal, while director Ridley Scott cut the actor from his finished film All the Money in the World.
Scott then replaced Spacey with Christopher Plummer just six weeks before the film hit theaters, earning Plummer an Oscar nomination for his efforts.
That plan also required all of Spacey’s scenes to be reshot, something that his co-stars Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams both agreed to, with the pair flying to Europe to participate in filming over Thanksgiving.
One of the people close to the production said that Scott’s plan caught Sony by surprise, but the studio is supporting the switch.
The incident that spurred this all allegedly took place at Spacey’s apartment in 1986 when the actor invited Rapp to a party while they were both appearing on Broadway.
In an interview with Buzzfeed, Rapp said that he found himself alone in the apartment at the end of the night and that Spacey then began to make his move.
‘He picked me up like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold. But I don’t, like, squirm away initially, because I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’ And then he lays down on top of me,’ said Rapp, who detailed being pressed up against the bed before being able to squirm away and ultimately leave the house without being assaulted by Spacey.
Spacey made the decision to come out of the closet in a statement apologizing to actor Anthony Rapp, who said in an interview that the actor attempted to sexually assault him in 1986, an incident Spacey says he does not remember.
Rapp was 14 at the time while Spacey was 26.
No matter what he did to young boys, still a nice hefty paycheck awaits him. Man, that boycott word gets more popular every day.

Rapp came out with this about a year ago. The Spacey thing was one of the first to open the door to the whole ugly #MeToo b.s. It just gets to me that Kevin-boy is still being served up as “worthy to watch” and then highly compensated. I know of Hollywood’s corruption and toxicity, and I boycott most of its offerings, but it still spills out, wielding its influence on the culture and the culture’s children. Yuck!!
