I did want to comment upon the honesty, and authenticity, of the early Rock and Roll years, before darker forces emerged. When I look back on groups like “The Dave Clark Five, or, “The Turtles”, not bubble-lipped monkey-boy, Mick Jaggar, and don’t get me wrong, I loved the stone’s in the day, but Jaggar’s personal dive into the arms of Lucifer is not just folklore. He influenced a generation, along with Michael Jackson, to embrace Satanism and hedonism.
I never cared for the Stones all that much, they did some good songs like Angie and a few others that don’t even ‘come to mind’ but they couldn’t touch the Beatles who couldn’t touch the Moody Blues … consummate Professionals from the London Conservatory of Music that I saw twice at Largo outside the District of Criminals doing Metal, and then Dark Side … WOW, what an unforgettable experience!
Ahh… 1966 what a great year. Also liked the band doing “Hungry” that year.
