Pilot was at fault big time, flying visual flight rules in instrument weather, killed his passengers because he was trying to be the big shot and get his passengers to destination quick. The celebrity status of his load is what killed everybody, the pilot was , for lack of a better term, showing off. Idiocy…..
I used to ferry airplanes from a piper dealer to customers all over the LA basin 30 years ago, when the weather is bad, you dont fk around, you file IFR “instrument flight rules”, and get there safely.
Pilots in a hurry dont like to do that, takes too much time. Its unbelievable to me how people give these “get home itis” pilots who kill people a pass.
