Among the injured is the nephew of Brand Thornton, who was shot in the chest at the Route 91 concert in Las Vegas. Thornton was a significant figure in the 2016 occupation of the Malhuer Wildlife Refuge with Ammon Bundy in Oregon. Thornton’s nephew has been released from surgery and is in stable condition.
