As of last night there is still open access to the refuge. There is a lot of press that hang out there during the day. During the press conference yesterday the militia let everyone stroll around the grounds unattended.
There were only about a dozen militia visible. We know that there are some staying in town as well. There appears to be other people coming into to town on the side of the militia.
There are locals and out of area people coming in and supporting with food and just to be present.
There certainly exists the element of community members who are going to support this action or even the sentiment but the bigger percentage of folks agree that the feds are out of control and though they dont like the way this came about, it is what it is so lets try to use to make things better.
Its very difficult for some to speak out on this since everyone knows everyone. There were things done or perceived before this all went down that pitted the community against the militia. I was one of them and its a long story I wont go into.
The FBI arrived yesterday and will be handling this situation. Not sure how many but I know they rented 20 room at a local hotel. There are police here from all over the state to assist the locals.
We have about 10″ of snow. Its warmed up into the 20’s but Jan Feb can get VERY cold with wind especially at the refuge.
– Unconfirmed info that feds plan to close access and cut power today. Could be misinfo to deter more from coming or sending aid.
– Apparently road blocks are not stopping or searching cars. They are only advising people of the situation ahead. May go that way later to confirm but have heard same from three sources.
“There were only about a dozen militia visible. ”
The rest are taking up positions around the area. Like here in Linn county, the Sheriff just sent two units to burns to support the feds. WHAT THE F*CK?
waste our local resources to go back up feds 224 miles away. TARGET SIGHTED.
let this go hot. One of your material and personnel supply lines has been exposed. And i can see it from here…
