A man died Tuesday evening after being shot by a police officer in southeast Oklahoma City.

Police were investigating a report of a hit-and-run around 8:15 p.m. in the 5700 block of Southeast Shields Boulevard, said Capt. Bo Mathews, with the Oklahoma City Police Department. Officers found a vehicle in the 200 block of Southeast 57th Street that matched the description of the one in the accident.

Two officers confronted a suspect holding a stick in a front yard. One of the officers fired a stun gun, and the other discharged his firearm, hitting the man, Mathews said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the suspect and the two officers have not been released. The officer who deployed his firearm has been placed on administrative leave.

  1. More trigger happy bacon on the hoof. This dude couldn’t speak or hear and, despite several neighbors yelling at the oinkers that he was deaf, they shot him anyway.

  2. “The officer who deployed his firearm has been placed on administrative leave.”

In plain English… the murderer has not been charged.

    And isn’t likely to be.
