Michael Bloomberg Targets 12 More States for Gun Control

Breitbart – by AWR Hawkins

Although the elections and Michael Bloomberg’s original $50 million pledge to beat the NRA are over, the former mayor is still spending money and is considering a push for gun control in 12 more states.

The goal in some of the states is the same kind of initiative that Bloomberg and other one-percenters pushed through in Washington, while in others, the goal is to pressure legislators to support gun control expansion under the guise of fighting domestic violence or by following California’s lead with “gun violence restraining orders.”

According to the USA Today, Bloomberg is currently weighing a Washington state-like initiative approach in Arizona and Maine. As one of the most gun-friendly states in the union, Arizona will be a challenge for Bloomberg. And voters in Maine just passed on the chance to put a gun control governor in office, choosing instead to stick with pro-gun, NRA-endorsed Governor Paul LePage.

Part of Bloomberg’s game is going around elected officials—bypassing legislatures and governors. Therefore, he is weighing his options. At the same time, Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety says it could take an active role in pressuring legislatures in up to 20 states.

The NRA says it plans to fight Bloomberg at the state level just as it has done at the national level. And that includes exposing his habit of going “into states where it’s easy to pass something … [then claiming] national momentum.”

In other words, success on a universal background check/handgun registration scheme in Washington state does not mean Arizonans are also chomping at the bit to register their guns.

  1. LMAO Not a chance Bloomberg will have a snowballs chance in hell of passing his crap here. Arizona will send Bloomberg packing back where he came from.

    1. “Arizona will send Bloomberg packing back where he came from.”

You’ll have to terminate him then.

      That would be Hell.

  2. Every American citizen of good standing age seventeen, if on active military duty, or older is entitled by the constitution to carry, open or concealed, a firearm of their choice anywhere they please. Any and all regulations/laws to the contrary are ipso facto unconstitutional.
