Nationalism and Regionalism

Walking through the woods this afternoon I decided to record my thoughts, perhaps something I’ll do more often. My thoughts on regional identity being threatened by mass immigration in addition to our national identities.

  1. What part of Durham is this dude from? Because he doesn’t sound Durham, much anyway…maybe he should rediscover his own accent…but he’s right about rediscovering local accents. Most local English accents are really interesting to hear. Too bad about disappearance of Cockney.

  2. Sad to see that so many cultures are threatened. I thought he gave some good advice in the last minute and a half. With the forced immigration (invasion) it’s push come to shove, so any efforts to protect one’s culture are important. Fight homogenization. Just like all people are individuals, so are all cultures. Shining originality, with specific traits manifesting in each. Sameness is sickness.
