Finally, a feel good story!

WICU 12 News – by Rodney Harris

Mableton, GA — A school resource officer accidentally pepper sprayed himself on Wednesday while trying arrest a person who wasn’t supposed to be on campus.

According to Jay Dillon with Cobb County Schools, the resource officer confronted the person who wasn’t supposed to be at Pebblebrook High School in Mableton.

When he tried the arrest the individual, the resource officer used pepper spray, but the wind ended up blowing the spray into both the officer and individual’s face, allowing the person to escape.

The resource officer was treated for having the spray in his eyes.

According to Dillon, students at the school were never threatened or in danger.

  1. Too bad he wasn’t using his sidearm and had the same accident! Should be a new instructional film for the firing range 😉
