Austin, TX — In disgusting dashcam footage uploaded to YouTube on Thursday, two Austin Police Officers, Michael Castillo and Mark Lytle, are heard bragging about how important they are, then whistling at a woman and saying “Go ahead. Call the cops. They can’t unrape you.” while investigating a fender bender on May 24.
Officer 1: Alright, we’re gonna be riding out for a week.
Officer 2: Yo, we used to. They used to do that.
Officer 2: Hey, put it this way; if we ride out for a week, crime is gonna be on the run and (expletive) non-existent. (Expletive) would get real for the bad guys. The world would be at peace for a week.Officer 1: Either that, or, you’d think that because we’d turn a blind eye towards everything.
Officer 2: Or that.
Officer 1: (Expletive) who cares.
Officer 2: Or that. It could be that.
Officer 1: I want to report a robbery! You probably deserved it.Officer 1: Look at that girl over there.
Officer 2: (blows whistle) Go ahead and call the cops. They can’t unrape you. (laughter)
Officer 1: You didn’t turn your camera off, did you?
Officer 2: They can’t unrape you.
An APD spokesperson stated they were unaware of the video until they were contacted by local station KXAN, providing them with this comment-
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. The attitude and commentary depicted within this video are not consistent with the level of professionalism we expect of our officers and does not represent the values of the Austin Police Department.
On Friday, the department confirmed the validity of the video, which was released by a lawyer who stumbled upon it as he was working on a case related to the car accident, and issued a statement which read-
The Austin Police Department has validated the video/audio publicly released pursuant to the Texas Open Records Act. The officers in the video/audio have been identified as Austin Police officers. Upon learning of the video’s contents, the Department immediately launched an internal investigation. The investigation will include a comprehensive audit of the involved officers’ contacts with victims of sexual assault to ensure the actions taken during the contacts meet the expectations of the Department, the public and most importantly, the victims. Upon conclusion of the investigation, the Department will take appropriate corrective action.
With the amount of rapes and sexual assaults occurring at the hands of law enforcement, jokes and statements like these must be taken very seriously, yet both officers remain on normal duty.
As horrific as this conversation is, some may like to believe this is just a couple of “bad seeds” or an isolated incident.
Unfortunately the jokes by these officers is almost unsurprising considering the attitude towards rape demonstrated by police nationwide.
Just last month, after responding to questions about the shocking string of rapes by officers, OK Highway Patrol Captain George Brown was on television telling women that if they don’t want to be raped by police, they should obey traffic laws.

Every time one of these monsters gets scragged by a fed up American we are supposed to feel sorry because???????………
Its not a few rotten apples here. Way its looking is a gigantic criminal combine. May as well put the Bloods and the Cripps in police uniforms and turn them loose. Same would be their behavior.
This is why you do not deal with the police in America. In any other real job. You know they would be fired and not colect unemployment as well. But they are the police! Those special needs people out on the streets with guns in the pants and a badge to hide behind.
And I’m sure they will get two weeks paid vacation for those comments and be back on the job in no time.
