‘Officially A Member Of The Family’: Paul Ryan Is Excited To Be A Jew

Forward

House Speaker Paul Ryan is embracing his newfound Jewish roots.

Ryan, a practicing Catholic, learned he’s 3% Ashkenazi Jewish during the filming of an upcoming season of PBS’s “Finding Your Roots With Henry Louis Gates Jr,” The Washington Post reported Wednesday.

“You could have knocked him over with a feather and then he was very proud of it,” said Gates, the show’s host.

Former Ryan advisor Dan Senor told Jewish Insider that Ryan called late at night on July 11 to break the news.

“I have something really exciting to tell you,” Ryan said. “I just learned that I’m part Jewish. I’m officially a member of the family!”

Ryan showed support for Israel long before learning he was a member of the tribe, according to the Post. In 2016, in the wake of the Iran nuclear deal, he addressed the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and stressed that the United States needed to give Israel “more than vague assurances that we’ve got their back.”

In January last year, Ryan delivered an impassioned speech on the House floor in defense of a measure calling for the repeal of a U.N. Security Council Resolution condemning Israeli settlements on disputed land.

“I am stunned at what happened last month. Our government abandoned our ally Israel when she needed us the most,” Ryan said at the time.

  1. “Ryan, a practicing Catholic, learned he’s 3% Ashkenazi Jewish”
what a pile of bullshit. “judaism” is a political ideology disguised as a religion.
    if it is a “race”,
HOW THE HELL CAN SOMEONE “CONVERT” TO JUDAISM?

  2. He is much more than 3% piece of shit.

So he is Ashkenazi(eastern Europe) jew. What does that have to do with race or Israel? Nothing.

His ancestors converted to Judaism a long time ago. He is not a hebrew nor a Semite. Just a schmuck. And we already knew that.

  3. I wonder how many secret >3% jews frequent here?

(They have a test for that now, I hear)

On a serious note, makes me wonder if the jews will claim him as theirs.

  4. So What? “Marching to Zion” video creator and anti-Christian-Zionist preacher Steven Anderson, whose church is in Arizona, in his video, gave proof that he too is part Ashkenzim on his grandmother’s side (less than 3 percent, but still…), and also in the movie explained that possibly nearly everyone on earth may have Ashkenazim DNA due to the diaspora after 70 AD when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and after the diaspora after the Massada rebellion in 132 AD. Since the diaspora AND the conversion of Khazaria in the 700s and that dispersion due to various invasions of southern Russia in the 800s and 900s (some Islamic, some not), it would not be too hard to plant “Jewish” DNA everywhere (and then the Moranos of Spain, etc.), including Jewish slave trading where female slaves were raped (including white indentured servants from Ireland and England), and including the raping of Aboriginees, Maoris, Pacific Islanders, etc. etc. etc….and who knows?Maybe even click-speaking Bushmen!

    1. Exactly DL. I suppose now he thinks he has some claim over me as my Bill of Rights.

Goofy idiot, this changes nothing in the coming battle.

  5. “I have something really exciting to tell you,” Ryan said. “I just learned that I’m part Jewish. I’m officially a member of the family!”

    Wow. Sounds so mafia like.

  6. So. 5 to 6 generations ago (Great-Great-Great-Grandfather…50%-25%-12.5%-6.25%-3.125%) there was some family intermarriage or hanky-panky with an AshkeNAZI.
    How was that determined? DNA?
Who owned the testing company? Were the results crosschecked at another lab?
Basically, it’s a Mormon lab or a Jewish Lab. Maybe they’re in cahoots?
That is an incredibly LOW % considering what occurred over the last 6 generations…~100+ years.
    Think about it.
We’re ~99% the same genetically as chimpanzees. That’s only another 2-3 generations further back.
I’m being facetious, of course, but 3% is really low. I’d like to see the results of all European and Native Americans. I’ll bet the number would be higher?
But then…I don’t think anyone should have access to our DNA.
    Especially the Federal government.
