Had’t been on the net for a couple of days….
supposed to be 65 above here tomorrow and not long ago it was -20F without any wind factor…
Oh well. lived through it many times before…
was 60 here today (about 20 miles north of hannibal mo.) but snow/sleet tonight, and in the 20’s tomorrow. yea i remember winters years ago where we had couple feet snow with ice on top that was walkable without sinking down. looking forward to some fine weather. 🙂
talking about snow…Billings here, had close to 100in. this winter…it came and went so was wet melting also,,then came some more…I love the seasons. Even if they are unpredictable….guessing that you do also…
yes still love all the seasons. however this old body doesn’t tolerate cold as it once did. Or the humid heat for that matter, the cold actually causes my wife pain. we have a south facing glass wall for her, and it helps her some. All in all though the colorful seasons cant be beat. was born and raised in Hannibal mo. So have been in this area for 70 years now.
am in good shape. no problems yet, if they do come.! I had an Uncle who lived in St. Lewis MO, has since passed away..I have some cousins there from his marriage…Have only seen them seems, once…too far away…is the only reason…am, 69 by mid may…soon! As the numbers go up…well? all I can do is shake my head and wonder where the age of 30 and 40 went..perhaps Gordon Lightfoot’s song can say…”in the early morning rain, with a dollar in my hand, with an achen’ in my heart and my pockets full of sand,,,,,I’m a long way from home and I miss my loved ones.so…..Now there she goes my friend…………in the early morning rain…
