Ojibway Story of the Birch Tree

Published on Mar 3, 2013

Traditional Ojibway story of the Weegwas (Birch Tree), as told to me by my friend Ojibway Joe.

Joe is now resting from the toils of this life with the ancestors of his people. Again I will see you my friend.

Background music is the Ojibway Prayer Song.

  1. Knew an Ojibway woman once, who had been abused at an Orphanage run by the Catholic Church near St. Johns, New Brunswick in Canada. Thanks.
