On this day 101 years ago—at 11 AM on November 11—the armistice ending World War I went into effect. 11-11-11, which of course totals to 33, is a Free-masonic signature.

Hal, reading this, it occurred to me that maybe the real veterans who are to be honored are those who stood up to power, or blew the whistle, or told the truth, or refused to do unjust killing, or who sang songs and played music that delighted folks and coaxed many out of the box.

Veterans/Armistice Day may one day be just that. And not unnoticed is the first syllable of armistice.
