The Australian bushfires are said to be the worst in memory. Hundreds of square miles have already burned, and the country is still in the midst of a dry hot summer.

Chevron (CVX), America’s No. 2 oil company, said in a statement Monday that as a “precautionary measure” its expatriate employees and contractors have left the Kurdistan Region in northern Iraq “for the time being.” Chevron does not have oil workers elsewhere in Iraq. (AP) – Two top Senate Democrats are calling on President Donald Trump to immediately declassify the administration’s reasoning for the deadly strike on an Iranian official.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and the Senate Foreign Relation Committee’s Sen. Robert Menendez say there’s “no legitimate justification” for keeping the information from the public.

A top Iranian general has warned that the Islamic republic will target the US military to avenge the assassination of leading military commander Qassem Soleimani last week.
In a CNN interview broadcast Sunday, Maj. Gen. TEL AVIV – Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday discussed Iran’s “malign influence” following the American airstrike in Iraq on the top Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander Qasem Soleimani.

Close to 400,000 anchor babies were born in the United States in 2019 as an executive order to end birthright citizenship gets kicked down the road for another year by President Donald Trump’s administration.
Analysis conducted by the Center for Immigration Studies revealed in 2018 that about 300,000 U.S.-born children of illegal aliens are born every year. FBI gun background checks, linked closely to weapons sales, recorded the second-highest month ever in December, propelling 2019’s count to the most since the National Instant Criminal Background Check System began in 1998.
