In July 2019, Jeffrey Epstein, already a convicted sex offender, was arrested and charged with sex trafficking by federal prosecutors. On August 10, Epstein was found dead in his federal jail cell at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC).

An 86-mile stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike was closed for much of Sunday after a deadly crash involving a tour bus, three tractor-trailers and a passenger vehicle.

Five people were killed in the crash, Westmoreland County Coroner Ken Bacha told the Tribune-Review. About 60 people were injured and taken to three area hospitals, turnpike spokesman Carl DeFebo tweeted. Israel had advance notice of the U.S. plan to kill Iranian military leader Gen. Qassem Suleimani, Israeli military and diplomatic analysts reported Friday night while refraining from providing further details due to heavy military censorship.
