Spencer Collins, 9, needed a milk crate to be seen, but his message came through loud and clear Monday night as the Leawood City Council unanimously approved a moratorium that temporarily exempts “Little Free Libraries” such as Spencer’s from an ordinance that prohibits structures in front yards. The Kansas City Star – by Caroline Bauman

Nine-year-old Spencer Collins will be able put his “Little Free Library” back in his front yard first thing in the morning.

The Leawood City Council unanimously approved a temporary moratorium Monday night that exempts the little lending libraries from a city ordinance that prohibits structures in front yards. The moratorium, effective Tuesday, will last until Oct. 20.

As soon as the moratorium passed, Mayor Peggy Dunn called Spencer to the front of the room to hand him a book for his library, an action that received applause from the audience.   Continue reading “‘Little Free Libraries’ legal in Leawood thanks to 9-year-old Spencer Collins”

The Army is retiring its 9mm pistols in hopes of getting a service pistol with better “knock-down power.”

This means over 200,000 Beretta M9 and Sig Sauer M11 pistols will be phased out, and replaced by 400,000 new guns the Defense Department is ready to purchase once a new model is agreed upon.   Continue reading “Army Retiring 9mm Pistols, Looking For More ‘Knock-Down Power’”

Moscow’s cooperation with Latin American states is a priority for Russia’s foreign policy, President Vladimir Putin told Cuba’s Prensa Latina and Russia’s Itar-Tass news agencies in an interview.

Question: Russian leaders do not visit Latin America as often as they visit other parts of the world. What do you think South America and Russia can offer to each other today, not only in terms of economic benefits, but speaking more broadly?   Continue reading “‘Cooperation with Latin America is key to Russia’s foreign policy’ – Putin”

There is one sure way to solve the immigration crisis going on at the United States’ southern border, Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain believes: Send the illegal immigrants back home as quickly as possible.

“There has to be a halt to this,” McCain told CNN “State of the Union” host Candy Crowley Sunday. “The best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returned to their country of origin.” Continue reading “McCain: Fly Illegals Home ASAP”

A holding room video in from Bellingham police department shows two officers hyper-escalating violence on suspect Joseph O’Brien, who has one arm handcuffed to a bar and was wielding a telephone as a weapon in the other.

The officers basically throw everything they have at O’Brien short of lethal force.

The barrage started with baton blows, blow after blow landed on the head, body and arms of O’Brien.   Continue reading “If You Look Up Excessive Force in the Dictionary, There Would Be a Picture of This Scene”

This War officially started April 12, 2014, at the Bundy Ranch in Nevada.  It is the War Against Tyranny, and especially the tyranny that has appeared in the USA.  Yes, it also “started” in the ’60s, or ’30s, or 1913 or 1860 or 1791.  Everything leads to something, so it’s a process.  Still, no matter the legal issues involved, it was April 12, 2014 that many Americans–for whatever their individual reasons–first said No to tyranny in this century.  And meant it.

This essay is one message and it’s the same message as that day:  The tyranny is done.  It’s over.  It won’t be tolerated.  It won’t be paid for.  It will be stopped.  Americans have always stopped tyranny the world over, and now we’re going to stop it here.   Continue reading “You Decide: Liberty or Tyranny? Happiness or Misery? Life or Death?”

As America continues to be overwhelmed by an obviously orchestrated mass intrusion of immigrants over its borders, the utter hypocrisy of increasingly stringent so-called “security measures” for the rest of the population paints a very clear picture.

There is no terrorism threat to the United States. It’s bogus now and has been completely fraudulent from the get go.    Continue reading “Open Migration Agenda Proves Terrorism Is A Hoax”

New documents obtained by the Associated Press under a Feedom of Infomation Act request appear to reveal that high-level officials knew in advance that British agents were attempting to destroy documents leaked by Edward Snowden that were contained on computers owned by the Guardian newspaper.

Though the the “White House had publicly distanced itself on whether it would do the same to an American news organization,” reports the AP, the internal NSA emails show “senior intelligence officials were notified of Britain’s intent to retrieve the Snowden documents and that one senior U.S. official appeared to praise the effort.”   Continue reading “US Officials Conversed About UK Attempt to Destroy Guardian Files”

Bill Kristol speaks to ABC NewsRaw Story – by David Edwards

Weekly Standard Editor Bill Kristol may have thrust Sarah Palin into the national spotlight by being one of the first to push for her to be vice president in 2008, but he has now decided that she “makes Republicans look extreme” because she called to impeach President Barack Obama.

In a column on the conservative website Breitbart last week, the former Alaska governor argued that it was “time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the left or right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment.”   Continue reading “Even Bill Kristol wants Palin to STFU about impeachment: She ‘makes Republicans look extreme’”

Smoke rises near buildings after heavy fighting between rival militias broke out near the airport in Tripoli July 13, 2014. REUTERS- Hani AmaraReuters – by FERAS BOSALUM AND ULF LAESSING

Heavy fighting broke out between rival militias vying for control of Libya’s main airport on Sunday, killing at least seven people and forcing a halt of all flights in the worst fighting in the capital for six months.

Explosions and anti-aircraft gunfire were heard from early morning on the airport road and other parts of Tripoli until the situation seemed to calm down in the late afternoon.

Residents said that militiamen from the northwestern region of Zintan who had controlled the airport came under fire, and local TV footage suggested that the attacking rebels were from the western city of Misrata.   Continue reading “Heavy fighting breaks out near Libya’s Tripoli airport, seven dead”

If you can’t find anything good to say about Israel, don’t say anything at all.

As this Sunday comes and goes, I will not be attending church. With a scant few exceptions the church has been invaded in the same manner that our Constitution has been obliterated.

As the country struggles to come to grip with the illegal alien invasion, which threatens our economy, our collective health and out national sovereignty, we are unable to look to our churches to provide the leadership needed in this time of crisis. Yesterday afternoon, I happened to read a seemingly innocuous enough article in Time by Justin Lynch titled: Bloggers, Surveillance and Obama’s Orwellian State. The article covered the usual bases. Such as the fact the Obama Administration is the least transparent ever, how it has attacked whistleblowers and journalists more than all other Presidents combined, and how citizen journalists pose a threat to the corrupt and dying status quo. All things that we already know.   Continue reading “Pentagon Correspondent for the New York Times Refers to American Citizens as “Children””

My Budget 360

Over the last decade the U.S. has entered into a low wage economic trend impacting the overall economy. The result has been for many once middle class familiesto fall one or two rungs lower on the economic ladder. Many corporations have boosted their bottom line by using slack in the labor force to cut wages, slash benefits, and ultimately filter more profits away from workers. This is how you achieve a record level in the stock market yet wages have been stagnant for well over a generation adjusting for that pesky background “noise” of inflation.   Continue reading “How the US is Creating a Low Wage Workforce”
