We don’t know that the pilot said anything. Could have been he remembered the camera was on him or his PR person told him.

I can guarantee that the pilot isn’t giving orders to Obama. When you join the military, you sign up be the slave of whomever happens to be the president.
If I’m not mistaken, anyone in the military can actually be sent to jail for being disrespectful to a superior officer, and Obama is the most superior officer right now.

Actually that is not true, though many believe it is. That is because they have not read the US Constitution. The people who SERVE as US Presidents ARE NOT automatically the Commander in Chief of the US military though they all seem to act as if they are.
The people who serve as US Presidents are only Commander in Chief of the US Military when the Congress has declared war, and the US Military has been called into service.
US Constitution – the document that is the contract that ALL who SERVE WITHIN our governments are under and Oathbound to, Article 2, Section 2 flat out says “The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and the Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several states, WHEN CALLED INTO THE ACTUAL SERVICE OF THE UNITED STATES”.
It is important to realize that ONLY the congress can call both the Militias and the military forth per the delegated duties.
Seems to me this country has been at war my entire life and many many years before I was ever born
So not sure how that plays into his commander in chief issues when it comes to CONgress
That , and the fact that Obama has been ignoring congress the constitution and doing what ever he dam well pleases

Cal, what you say is correct, of course, according to the letter of the Constitution. But who follows the Constitution anymore? “Our” government directly violates it each and every day, from civil asset forfeiture to perpetual undeclared wars. Those in the military are expected to obey or be punished, and to leave the “interpretation” of the Constitution to its enemies.

Yes,.. if I remember correctly, they can request it as part of “8th & I” embassy duty, which a career US Marine can request as part of their “B-Billet” requirements.
There is of course a stringent background check for anyone seeking Whitehouse Duty.

Myself when I was trained back in the olden days,that when you seen a superior officer coming at you ,salute and hold till the supposed superior saluted you,when his or her salute dropped you could be at ease.I think it’s about some kind of respect that I think is kinda silly.
