Raw Story – by Travis GettysPolice fatally shot an Alabama “sovereign citizen” Tuesday during an altercation at an animal shelter.
Investigators said 30-year-old Robert Earl Lawrence became disorderly as he attempted to turn over a stray animal about 12:30 p.m. to the Dothan City Animal Shelter when an employee told him he could not leave without showing identification.
He instead showed paperwork that identified him as a sovereign citizen and, therefore, not bound by federal, state, or local laws.
Employees called police, who attempted to arrest Lawrence after they said he refused to calm down.
Police said Lawrence struggled with the arresting officer, who then shot him in the abdomen.
Lawrence died about 9:50 p.m., authorities said.
Prosecutors said Lawrence had obvious anger issues and often expressed anti-government views.
He pleaded guilty earlier this year to making harassing communications in connection with threats he made in January 2013 to the State Department of Human Resources, and he served 90 days in jail in that case.
Investigators said he had been angry with the department in connection with a child custody dispute.
Lawrence threatened to take a child hostage like Jimmy Lee Dykes, who snatched a 5-year-old child earlier this year and held him for a week in an underground bunker.
He also made references to the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, investigators said.
Two women filed protection orders against Lawrence this year after he allegedly choked one and threatened another.
Court documents listed a variety of addresses for Lawrence, including one in Florida and two on the same road in Dothan.
The shooting investigation has been turned over to the State Bureau of Investigations.
Now more cops will be shot. If the cops and government people glean the connection they will back off and consequently get to live. If they can’t do the math, their demise will be chalked up as a function of Natural Selection.

They add the sovereign citizen part and then show he was violent and had assaulted woman and threatened to kidnap a child. perfect
I am anti-government. I am a sovereign american national. I refuse to show ID. I have never been involved in an assault nor do I care to be. but I’ll be damned if I would let some animal shelter violate my right to not self incriminate.

Most people I’ve talked to in the last few years are angry at the government and what they are doing to the population. The “Anger Issues” they are referring too is a linguistic device to cloud the real issue that government at ever level and everywhere is totally acting beyond their constitutional charter.
As far as “Anti Government” one only needs to read the constitution, and especially the first 10 amendments to know that the founding principles of this country is at its heart ANTI-GOVERNMENT. SO WHAT!!!! If you are not anti-government you are NOT a true American nor should you be trusted to hold any public office, or a police or military uniform. That is the real point. Also that a communist local government murdered yet another American and have gotten clean away with it without any reprisal. Just an observation. Hope they guy had a family that love him to make some necessary corrections to the situation. One can hope and pray like Jack McLamb used to say, “Destroy them with double destruction”. Prayer that is.

What was to prevent Mr Lawrence from just walking out when the shelter employees demanded his slave credentials? Did they unlawfully restrain him until the Policy Enforcers arrived? Did the Policy Enforcers thug up on him, supporting the unlawful restraint and deliberately antagonizing him in order to create a situation where they would be “justified” in escalating the encounter to physical force and violence? You bet they did.
Mr Lawrence’s biggest mistake was getting involved with any corporate structure, such as the “animal shelter”. These corporations (and including the local and state governments), demand you display your corporate standing in order to “engage in commerce”. Any activity engaged in within the realm of “public” has become, in the eyes of the Admiralty system, theirs to control. The presumption by the CORPORATION is that all living souls are theirs to control because of the Birth Certificate/ Social Security/ Driver’s License fraudulent trusts. Mr Lawrence showed them he was not their property, and it cost him his life – but he stood his ground; and for that I salute him. There is an accounting coming, and that Judge will not be swayed by “I was just doing my job”. He will render to those who do evil the just recompense for their actions – and I trust Mr Lawrence will be called to testify to the facts.
