MEDFORD, Ore. — Medford Police are at a location in the 300 block of Argyle Court (Near Sweet Rd and Ross Lane) where a subject is believed to be armed and a danger to himself and possibly others.
Police received a tip this afternoon that the man could be a danger, and went to the residence to check. Medford Police also say they have received several of these calls over the last few days for the same residence. Monday was the first time police were able to make contact with the person inside the home.
According to police, nearby residences are being evacuated, and several city blocks have been shut down as they work on the situation.
The suspect believed to be alone in the residence. Hostage Negotiators, SWAT and several officers are on scene. Mental health professionals are on their way as well.
