Prayers for Misty

We received the following from Misty’s husband:

Dear friends and acquaintances,

I am reaching out to you all for prayers and thoughts for my wife, Misty. She is a warrior for life, love and our family. We just found out she has to have her left kidney removed due to a genetic defect that has caused massive swelling. The Ureteropelvic Junction (UPJ) blockage is caused by a genetic defect that makes the muscle at the junction of the ureter and kidney to contract and not let go. This has destroyed the kidney and the swelling started to effect her health otherwise. Her right kidney has a genetic defect known as “sponge kidney” but it can be lived with okay as long as we take simple measures for it’s health.

We were told at one point it was likely a cancer but found out today it is not. We are very thankful for that. Surgery is in a few weeks. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes.

Sincerely,
-Daniel

  1. Thanks to everyone your responses really are encouraging. She home schools our 7 kids, does housework, teaches accounting for two different universities, and is a strong follower of Christ. That is why I say she is a warrior.

  2. God let us see Misty as she truly is, vibrant with restorative life. Let us speak power-filled words that affirm her wholeness and perfection. Let us know, really know, that healing is taking place now.

  3. God speed Misty. Your a strong lady, you will weather this storm with all of us here helping you along with prayer.

  4. I am hoping that the surgery goes perfectly and that Misty is back on her feet as soon as possible. It’s a good thing that human beings only need one kidney to survive, and when one gets a diagnosis that states “not cancer”, that is always a blessing to celebrate!

  5. May God watch over you and your loved ones to help you come through in your time of need. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

  6. Prayers from Florida, remember Misty, you are needed so our prayers will help God put you right and Arch Angel Mike is with you.

  7. Misty, was good to hear you on the show today, and was good to hear you speak positively.

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
    I Peter 2:24
