There are reports of a gunman at Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy in DeKalb County, Georgia, according to WSBTV.
It doesn’t appear there are any injuries. Whether or not shots were actually fired is in dispute, but students were evacuated from the school upon reports of a gunman, according to Fox 5 in Atlanta.
Police say they have a suspect in custody, according to WSBTV.
A TV news station’s helicopter reportedly shows students running from the school building.

Why is this even in the news? No one was shot, no shots were even fired, and there’s no report that he even threatened to shoot anyone.
Did everyone go into a stupidity panic because they saw someone with a gun? Are they even sure they saw a gun, or are they just panicking because they were thinking about guns?
The real stupidity i can see is putting them all into one big massive target of huddled together humans. You could have fired randomly in that direction from quite a distance and been pretty much guaranteed of a few hits.
I kind of think that this was just another training session and that so called gunnman was the big part of it. I watched this on nitely news and they say he had numerous guns and a back full of ammo and a bunch of ready to use clips, the gun he was carrying was his AK fully loaded, they also said that they thought that the guy probobly had a bomb or two in that back pack. And don`t ya know it was the easy going,soft speaking school teacher that talked him into giving up and convinced the guy to lay face down for the cops.This sounds too bizare for someone to give up that easy with that much fire power.
I think that that proves that the best defense against this sort of thing is to be quiet, well spoken, and defenseless.
Yes Luddite, this is the only defense she had. It just seems that this guy planned this for a while to just lay down so easy.
I wonder if they’ll find better actors who can actually shed tears instead of just scrunching their faces to look like they’re crying like we saw After Sandy Hoax?
