The right wing Jewish lobby financier Sheldon Adelson has pumped $30 million into the Republican Party’s “Congressional Leadership Fund” to help keep that party in control of the US Congress—so that President Donald Trump will keep up his slavishly pro-Israel foreign policy.
According to a report in Politico, casino mogul Adelson—who made his money out of a casino business empire which would be illegal in the Jewish ethnostate—cut a $30 million check after House Speaker Paul Ryan flew to Las Vegas to meet with the billionaire at his Venetian Hotel.
Also at the meeting with Adelson was his wife, Miriam; Norm Coleman, the former Minnesota senator who chairs the Republican Jewish Coalition; Corry Bliss, who oversees the super PAC; and Jake Kastan, Ryan’s No. 2 political aide.
According to the report, they “laid out a case to Adelson about how crucial it is to protect the House.”
As a federally elected official, Ryan is not permitted to solicit seven-figure political donations. When Ryan (R-Wis.) left the room, Coleman
Adelson’s donation comes at a time when the long-predicted (and ignored by Trump and both left and right wing Jewish lobbies) racial demographic shift in American voting patterns imperils Republican control of the House.
With more than a million nonwhites coming onto the US voter’s rolls every year, the number of Republican voters is declining in terms of its percentage of the vote.
“With dozens of incumbents being outraised by emboldened Democratic challengers, desperate party officials have been hoping that Adelson — the party’s most prominent benefactor — would give more than he traditionally does, and earlier in the election cycle,” Politico concluded.
Another report in the Jerusalem-based Times of Israel said that the donation was three times larger than the amount Adelson had donated in 2016.
“Adelson, a major giver to Jewish and pro-Israel causes, is also a leading backer of Republicans. He was among the biggest givers to Trump’s campaign and his inauguration,” the Times of Israel added, saying that “Trump has made good on two of Adelson’s main requests: moving the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and pulling out of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.”
Meanwhile, Jewish journalist and longstanding loose cannon Max Blumenthal told RT that the “Israel lobby was calling the shots in Trump’s rollback policy on Iran.”
Blumenthal—a “left wing” Jewish lobby activists, said that “Trump’s withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal is a result of a lobbying effort by American Jewish billionaires and recycled, cooked-up intelligence touted by the Israeli PM.”
Trump’s decision to pull the US out of the deal, which capped Iran’s uranium enrichment in return for economic sanctions relief, has drawn widespread criticism from Washington’s European allies and Moscow, but it was lauded in Israel, which has long pushed for dismantling of the 2015 accord, Blumenthal said.
This speaks for itself, he continued, saying that the “roots of Trump’s decision to scrap the deal can be easily traced back to Israel.
“Israeli influence is absolutely key here. At least, Trump sided Netanyahu’s kind of used car salesman style of presentation in order to justify withdrawing from the Iran deal and his new policy of rollback,” the journalist said.
Taking aim at the bizarre PowerPoint presentation delivered by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu late last month, Blumenthal pointed out the Israeli leader essentially “introduced nothing new in his presentation,” adding that ”much of the intelligence” appears to be ”cooked” and stem from the early 2000s.
In 2004, the George W. Bush administration claimed that it had obtained 1,000 pages of technical documentation shedding the light on Iran’s intentions to produce a nuclear weapon.
According to the US officials who spoke to the media at the time, the documents came from a “stolen Iranian laptop,” and not from an anti-government group.
However, it was later revealed by German intelligence officials that the source of the documents was Iranian resistance group Mujahideen-e Khalq (MEK), which is recognized as terrorist by the US State Department.
“It’s another intelligence scam driving us to war,” Blumenthal said, calling the intelligence cited by Netanyahu “arguably fabricated.”
Apart from Netanyahu, who has long been advocating the collapse of the internationally recognized agreement, Israeli lobbies within the US greatly contributed to Trump’s decision to take a more hawkish stance on Iran in line with Israel’s own, Blumenthal said.
“This triad of likudic billionaires—[Home Deport co-founder] Bernard Marcus, [casino magnate] Sheldon Adelson and [hedge fund billionaire] Paul Signer—contributed over $40 million to pro-Trump Super PACs, and also contributed enormous amount of money to Trump’s UN ambassador Nikki Haley and Tom Cotton, the senator that shaped Trump’s Iran policy,” the journalist pointed out.
This amounts to bribery, no doubt also the idea of the joos. We really do have a monkey on our back and I wonder if we can ever get it off.
Just follow the money….
