Russia To Deploy Nuclear Submarines To Southern Seas

Before It’s News – by Mort Amsel

Russia plans to send Borei-class submarines to the southern seas (South Atlantic, Indian, South Pacific) after a 20+ year hiatus.  These submarines are capable of carrying a payload of 16 long range nuclear missiles.

“The revival of nuclear submarine patrols will allow us to fulfill the tasks of strategic deterrence not only across the North Pole but also the South Pole,” state-run Itar-Tass cited an unnamed official in the military General Staff as saying.

Russia seems to be flexing it’s military might at the same time China is.  They know the west is in decline and they are gearing up for a clash.  Proxy wars have already been fought between Russia and the United States in Serbia, Georgia and currently in Syria.  The Russian military has also sent out a permanent fleet presense of a naval squadron in the Meditarreanean and plans to create an ‘army’ for the arctic as well.  -Mort

  1. It is very good to do so,because the west is just making the world a more unsafe place,by finding “bullshit” reasons to justify war. We need to get the balance right.

    Go Russia,Go.

  2. If Russia or China makes it clear that The West will not get a free ride into every country, including Syria, Iran and N. Korea, and that there will be a counter-balance, maybe the number of wars made on flimsy, made-up reasons, will go down a little. Unfortunately, The West is addicted to war and the European colonial powers want their empires back.
