Isn’t “undocumented Americans” an oxymoron?

If you really think about it “undocumented” means you’re free! 😉 They love playing around with & wielding these words (sword) as weapons. In this case getting everyone in the “most free nation in the world” to get riled up about “undocumented” people as if it’s extremely “wrong” & only documented people are OK is masterful mass mind control!
So what then? We change the word “undocumented” to something like non-American-Nationals? Okay. But the documentation thing is a double-edged sword. I do get your point but on the other hand I want to know who’s an invader and who was born and raised here and both shares and honors the rights and values given to us by The Bill of Rights and who will fight to protect those rights. Always seems to come back to that one darn “document,” The Bill of Rights.

ps: More thoughts on what you wrote. Nate, I want the state out of it too. And all those resources that are going to “the undocumented” are stolen from the American people. Our poverty levels are through the roof as evidenced by the burgeoning homeless population, the young who can’t afford to buy their own home, the outrageous costs of healthcare, and inflation in every faction. So it’s tricky, how to manage all this while we castrate Big Brother. But it will get better when things are run with the protections of The Bill of Rights. I know that is very forward looking because we first have to rise into the inevitable and necessary fight ahead. But I find some steadying in envisioning what it will be like when ALL hierarchy is demolished.
