GREAT MILLS, Md. (WJLA) – The suspect, believed to be a student, is dead after a shooting Tuesday morning at a high school in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, that has left a female in critical condition and a male in stable condition, according to authorities.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office says it happened at Great Mills High School and that police are on the scene. ABC7’s Brad Bell said sources tell him the shooter was a student, as were the two victims. Bell says a school resource officer took action to end the threat and authorities confirmed the incident has been contained.
The shooter and two others were taken to the hospital after the attack. Authorities held a press conference on the shooting later in the day.
The FBI is on the scene and members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were headed there as well. ABC7’s Kevin Lewis obtained scanner audio from the St. Mary’s County Fire and Emergency Medical Services channel as they responded to the Great Mills Shooting. The information from the audio is all unconfirmed.

The sheriff’s office says parents must pick up their students from the auditorium at nearby Leonardtown High School in Leonardtown and should not go to Great Mills High School.
The shooting comes exactly one month after The BayNet reported a threat to Great Mills that had been circulating on Snapchat.

St. Mary’s County Public Schools released a statement on the shooting and said the school was on full lockdown, but parts of the school have since been reopened and students have been bused to Leonardtown High School. The shooting comes just days after students at Great Mills and Leonardtown held a walkout to protest gun violence, The BayNet said.

Maryland State Police said they are aware of the situation, that St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation and that they have set up a media staging area at Chancellor’s Run Regional Park.

But right here is how you know it’s another media circus in the making:

These agencies don’t respond to random shootings. The feds are moving in to control the propaganda.
It appears to me that usually the only legitimate school shootings are limited to 1 or 2 victims.
This one is probably the real deal.
