Starting February 2025 California Governor Gavin Newsom will be “implementing speed cameras to circumvent the police and catch people speeding and send them tickets” If you get from one camera to the next too quickly you’ll also be sent a ticket, catching people who try to slow down by the cameras

  1. Yea they tried implementing that in Texas. It doesn’t work. Police tickets have to be given by the police or civil servant themselves in person, not through some 3rd party corporate entity given to you in the mail. They have no judicial or police authority to do anything.

Many people in Texas refused to pay or ignored them because they knew it was unenforceable and unconstitutional and would not hold up in court. Therefore, the governor banned it (even though it was unconstitutional in the first place).

If Californians were smart, they would all do that and then have nothing to worry about.

But I know their intelligence isn’t that high over there these days.
