A man is recovering in a hospital after getting shot when he tried to break into a home Tuesday night.
Police responded to a shots fired call near 15th and Quincy Avenue.
They learned before arriving on scene that the gun was fired in response to a break in.
A woman was waiting at home alone for her husband to arrive.
The home invader attempted to break in. That’s when the woman grabbed her gun and shot him.
The suspect was injured and unconscious when police arrived on scene.
Police said the initial investigation suggests the shooting was legal under Oklahoma statutes.
Detectives are investigating further to determine what criminal charges the injured suspect would face.

was he armed?.. charges are attempted murder
if not armed.. attempted rape and theft , breaking and entering
and he should be happy with it, because he almost got the death sentence
