The Western Wall is the last remaining structure from Israeli’s ancient past. Yesterday a stone from Israel’s Western Wall came tumbling down in a symbolic example of prophecy outlined by Jesus Christ. This occurred just a day after the “Tisha B’Av Fast” which honors the destruction of ancient Israel’s temple in Jerusalem during Rome’s conquest.
The rabbi of the main Western Wall plaza called for public “soul searching” after the incident. “This is an unusual and most rare incident that has not occurred for decades,” said Western Wall Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch. “The fact that this powerful incident happened a day after the 9th of Av fast, in which we mourned the destruction of our temples, raises doubts and questions which the human soul is too small to contain, and requires soul-searching.” – Times of Israel
As we can read from this excerpt, other people seem to find this account interesting as well.
So how is this a symbolic example and what did Christ outline for us?
“There Shall Not Be Left One Stone Upon Another”
Please turn your Bible with me to,
Mark 13:1
1 “And as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples saith unto Him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!“
To be clear, Christ went out of the temple.
What temple?
The temple that was destroyed nearly 2,000 years ago.
Now the buildings in Israeli at that time were fantastic, were are talking about great houses of worship. What was taught in them is another story altogether.
Our take away here is what the Disciples said to Christ. “Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!”
The Disciples are saying to Christ, look at these magnificent buildings.
Mark 13:2
2 “And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was telling the Disciples and us, all of the buildings in Israel from that time period would be destroyed.
But when?
Mark 13:3-4
3 “And as He sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked Him privately,”4 “Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?“
The Disciples were naturally curious by the Words of Christ, so they asked Him, ‘when will the stones all be thrown down?‘
Christ would answer them by explaining the final events that would occur before His Return (Mark 13), including the appearance of the false messiah.
Fast forward to our present time and we find the only remaining structure from that time period is the Western Wall, so we know the prophecy Christ told us of in Mark 13:2 remains to be fulfilled.
So what causes the destruction of the Western Wall?
The Great Earthquake
Turn your Bible with me to,
Zechariah 14:4
4 “And His feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.”
Whose feet?
Christ’s Feet.
In what day?
The Lord’s Day, the First Day of the Millenium after the Tribulation of Satan.
On this Day there will a great earthquake in Israel like nothing the earth has ever experienced as our Lord and Savior descends from Heaven with His Armies to set things right (Revelation 19:14-15). This great earthquake is triggered the very moment Christ’s feet touch the Mount of Olives. This great earthquake will literally bring the Western Wall tumbling to the ground fulfilling the prophecy Christ spoke of in Mark 13.
I want to cover two more verses to lock this in your mind.
“It Is Done”
Turn with me to,
Revelation 16:17
17 “And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.”
What is done?
The fulfillment of all prophecy written in Scripture concerning the time period we live.
Revelation 16:18
18 “And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.”
This earthquake is, in fact, the event we just read of in Zechariah 14:4, Christ descending from Heaven and touching down on the Mount of Olives brings about this magnificent earthquake fulfilling His Words in Mark 13.
Yesterday’s stone tumbling down from the Western Wall was at least a light reminder of Christ’s Promise which is yet to be fulfilled.
Or, it could have been weathering and age.
The “western wall” Brandon, is the remains of a Roman fort.
Fort Antonia. Study history before spouting bull cookies.
Jerusalem was completely destroyed in 70ad. Titus had it plowed under….
The satan worshipping khazars have been trying to “plow” the remains of the fort with simulated copulation for a long time. My suggestion? Don’t ever take a black light to THAT “holy site”!
LMAO!!!
Hit that one spot on K.
Roman coins were found underneath the “wall” indicating Roman origin. Considering it’s current symbolic use, the falling stone in the murderous apartheid state is a meaningful foreshadow.
Is this the wall they’re always humping? It’s no surprise that blocks are getting knocked loose there.
“…The rabbi of the main Western Wall plaza called for public “soul searching” after the incident…..”
And during that soul searching quest, find yourself something else to hump. (something that’s more than 18 years old, and hopefully less than 800)
The physical reason was that the Roman army set fire to the temple. It got hot enough to melt the gold temple implements, running thickly between the stones of the building, to be pryed out and salvaged by soldiers, not one stone was left on another, just as Christ prophesied. By Roman hands.
