The 1911 platform hits that sweet spot of nostalgia and looks for many gun owners; but, depending on model and maker, a full-size 1911 can be a little cumbersome to carry. Enter the Sig Sauer P238. A scaled-down 1911 style semi-automatic, chambered in .380, the Sig Sauer P238 looks to bring that favored 1911 aesthetic and features but in a more concealable size.
Determined to find out whether the Sig Sauer P238 could earn a spot in my concealed or backup gun inventory, I headed to Guns.com to get my hands on one of the more stylish options. Straight from the GDC warehouse, I put this Sig to the test.
Nice lookin probably built really well , Sig seems to build nice stuff . Ive shot a few Sigs and liked their ergonomics they can be a bit pricey
.380 though ? well definitely not my choice for primary carry , back up gun maybe
I thought the ladies on our site might enjoy this pistol. 🙂 But then again, I’ve seen some women carrying cannons.
My 98# 5’3” daughter commands a 45 really well
And has her eyes on my .44 mag
Although she’s not fired any mags out of it yet , just 44 specials
That 380 would fit nicely in a inner thigh holster under a dress or skirt , or just about anywhere
It’s all in what works for you , some just don’t like the recoil … I get it
I have a bad shoulder and hate the beating my 300 WM delivers , so I don’t enjoy it that much as I should
